[24] This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Our weekend has started on a beautiful note; the birth of another precious baby girl!

Chantés mom reached out to me yesterday at noon, letting me know that she had been feeling surges. She was still very happy at home, so I told her to let me know when she would want to come in. Just before 18h30 Friday evening, she asked us to meet her at the birth unit , so that's what I did. I got there, got the room ready, dimmed the lights, warmed the room, and had soft music playing.

As she, her partner,Pieter and her parents arrived, I met with her , still smiling. Surprisingly we found her to be in active labour! I took them upstairs and settled her in. She remained calm and relaxed throughout, doing what naturally came to her. Walking and swaying and by 21h10 she was feeling lots of pressure. She was surprised to learn that she was about to hold her baby in her arms very soon!

At 22h25 Chanté birthed her beautiful baby girl, Claire, who gave the sweetest little cry to let us all know that she had been born! She was perfect and as soon as she was placed on her mom's chest, she became calm and relaxed.

Chanté, you did such a phenomenal job! Thank you for allowing us to journey with you! We continue to speak blessing and favour over her life, and over your family. We pray that God would use her mightily in His Kingdom!

Lord, You deserve all the praise and glory! Great is Thy faithfulness!

I was blessed to meet this lovely couple 12 weeks into Danielle's pregnancy, as they embarked on this new chapter of parenthood. David's concerns were evident, but as the days turned into weeks, their love and confidence blossomed, bringing them closer to the moment they'd welcome their baby.
Sunday morning brought David's call, full of excitement and a dash of uncertainty. We met at the birthing house, expecting a routine check-up, but little did we know, the miracle of life was unfolding. Danielle's cervix was almost fully dilated, and as we helped her settle in, David quickly got everything ready.
The transformation in Danielle was remarkable as baby Riaan made his presence known. With strength and love, Danielle brought her baby into the world, and Riaan's cry at 11:25 was music to their ears.
I feel honored to have been part of this journey, sharing in the joy and love of this new family.Thank you for allowing me into you most sacred space of birth.
