Rare Disease Day!

This day aims to make treatment and medical representation more accessible for people who suffer from rare diseases, as well as to provide their families with more resources to learn about the diseases and how to care for their loved ones. It also raises awareness about uncommon rare diseases that are not widely known.

There are currently 7,000 identified rare diseases in the globe, yet neither the general public nor healthcare providers are well-informed about them.

National Organ Donor Day encourages people to sign up to donate their organs. It may save a life. As a matter of fact, one person who donates his organs can save up to 8 lives! On this February 14 holiday, we encourage you to officially become an organ donor. We also encourage you to become a tissue donor. Doing so helps to improve the lives of others.

International Epilepsy Day is an annual event organized by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) to raise awareness about epilepsy and its impact on individuals, families and communities around the world.

It’s important to educate ourselves and others about the facts about epilepsy and to dispel these myths and misconceptions. This can help to reduce the stigma and discrimination faced by people living with epilepsy and ensure that they have access to the same opportunities and rights as everyone else.
