Hi everyone! 🌟 Sending Stars is a powerful way to stand with GBV survivors, linking them with Vrou / Dame's critical support network. As a self-funded endeavor, Vrou / Dame relies on your support to deliver vital services.

The individuals I assist are often in desperate need, lacking access to basic necessities and safe housing. Your contribution will be a beacon of hope, helping to bridge this gap. I'll ensure that you see the real impact of your generosity, sharing stories of transformation and hope.

Your kindness will have a lasting impact, empowering survivors to reclaim their lives.

Look out for the Stars icon to send your support.

!!!WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT & HELP PLEASE!!!

Join Us in Making a Difference!

As we enter this time of year, we invite individuals and businesses to play a part in creating a meaningful impact.

We are reaching out for assistance—or connections to those who can help—with our upcoming fundraising event in May 2025.

This event will support a shelter in Cape Town dedicated to assisting women and children affected by gender-based violence (GBV).
Here’s how you can help:

Venue Sponsorship – We need a venue for our fundraising event in Brits or the surrounding area.

Catering Sponsorship – We are looking for sponsors to provide snacks for 50 people.

Prize Sponsorship – We need prizes for event attendees to win.

Table Hosts & Themes – We will have 30 themed tables, each needing:

A host to decorate according to the theme.

A fun activity for the guests at the table.

Lunch provided for the guests at your table.

If you or someone you know can assist in any way,

please reach out via WhatsApp at 060 496 7857

Together, we can make a difference!

Be the woman who fixes another's crown" means to be a supportive and kind person who discreetly helps others feel confident and empowered, even when they might be struggling, essentially "straightening their crown" without drawing attention to the fact that it was crooked in the first place; it signifies the act of uplifting others without making them feel diminished or dependent.

Key points about this phrase:
Empowerment:
It encourages women to see each other as allies, not competitors, and to actively support one another's self-esteem.

The "fixing" is done without making a big deal about it, suggesting a genuine desire to help someone feel better without drawing attention to their struggles.

Positive impact:
By offering small acts of kindness and encouragement, you can significantly improve someone's day or outlook.

How to "fix another's crown" in practice:
Offer genuine compliments: Notice and acknowledge someone's positive qualities, skills, or achievements.

Listen actively and empathize:

Be present when someone shares their concerns and show that you understand their perspective.

Provide constructive feedback with care: If offering criticism, do so in a supportive way, focusing on improvement rather than negativity.

Celebrate others' successes: Be genuinely happy for someone's accomplishments and share in their joy.
Be a role model: Demonstrate confidence and positive behavior to inspire others around you.

Let's talk Relationship Spectrum

Shows how relationships can range from healthy to abusive.

Healthy relationships
Based on respect, trust, and equality Partners make decisions together Partners openly discuss problems and sexual choices Partners feel supported and comfortable setting boundaries Conflicts are navigated through compromise and understanding

Unhealthy relationships Based on attempts to control the other person Involve disrespect, distrust, and pressure
One person may feel like they are not equal to their partner
One person may refuse to see how their actions impact their partner

Three major categories that relationships (and most people who engage with ANY kind of relationship) fall into; Independent, Co-dependent and Interdependent.
