17 May World Hypertension Day

Hypertension is a state of high blood pressure. Your arteries are persistently having an elevated blood pressure. If you are experiencing the following symptoms headaches, dizziness, double vision and you are not sure what is going on with your body remember you could have a high blood pressure. The following could be causes of your hypertension:actors and conditions may play a role in its development, including:Smoking, being overweight or obese, lack of physical activity, too much salt in the diet, too much alcohol consumption (more than 1 to 2 drinks per day), stress, older age, genetic predisposition, family history of high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease, adrenal and thyroid disorders. Remember you need to monitor your blood pressure regularly. The hypertension is controllable with and/or without medication depending on various factors mentioned above. Visit your General Practitioner or go to your local clinic to have it checked out.
