Skipping your warm-up might feel like saving time… but it could be costing you weeks of recovery.

Cold muscles are more prone to strains, tears, and poor performance. A proper warm-up increases blood flow, improves mobility, and gets your body ready to move the way it should.

Start with dynamic movements like leg swings, light jogging, or activation drills before every session.

Your performance starts before the workout.

Today we stand united in hope, awareness and action. Tuberculosis is preventable, treatable, curable and together we can end it.

Let’s break the stigma, encourage early testing, support those affected and strengthen our communities through knowledge and compassion.

A healthier world starts with awareness.

Myth: After a certain age, exercise is too risky or not worth starting.

It’s never too late to start moving your body. Exercise benefits people at every stage of life.

Starting later in life can still:
✔️ Improve strength and balance
✔️ Support heart health
✔️ Reduce joint stiffness and pain
✔️ Boost energy and mood
✔️ Help maintain independence

Even gentle movement like walking, stretching, swimming or strength exercises can make a powerful difference.

Your body is designed to move and it responds positively when you start, no matter your age.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s progress. One step at a time.

Start where you are. Move how you can. Your future self will thank you.

Preventing injuries starts with preparing your body to move well.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
✔️ Always warm up before exercise
✔️ Focus on proper technique and posture
✔️ Strengthen supporting muscles
✔️ Increase intensity gradually
✔️ Allow time for rest and recovery

Many injuries happen when the body is overworked, fatigued or not properly prepared.

Train smart, listen to your body and prioritise consistency over intensity.

Strong foundations lead to safer movement.

Myth: To be thin is to be healthy

The idea we’ve been sold time and time again. But true health isn’t defined by size, and using body size as a stand-in for health doesn’t just miss the point—it can actually cause harm.

Weight can relate to health in some cases, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Research shows that factors like physical activity, eating habits, quality sleep, and effective stress management are stronger predictors of health outcomes than BMI or body weight alone.

Rapid weight loss can sometimes signal that something else is happening—such as malnutrition, an underlying medical condition, or emotional stress. Being thin is not a guarantee of good health, and chasing thinness at the expense of mental and physical well-being can actually do more harm than good, potentially disrupting metabolism and blood sugar regulation.

You’re allowed to prioritise your health without focusing on becoming smaller.
