Dr Heidi Frere recently attended an advanced hands-on workshop in Ultrasound Safety & Aesthetic Practice, led by Dr Wade Merchant and Prof Hamzah Mustak, two of the country’s leading experts in ultrasound-guided aesthetic medicine.

This session focused on improving precision, patient safety, and anatomical understanding in injectable treatments — empowering aesthetic doctors to practice with even greater accuracy and confidence.

A special thank-you to Dr Barlodien Kotze for organizing such a collaborative and insightful training, and to GE Healthcare, Impilo Medical Systems and Zebra Medical for providing the tools that made this day possible.

Dr Heid Frere is the Owner of Best You Medical Wellness & Aesthetics and specializes in: ✔ Aesthetic Procedures ✔ Hormone Balancing ✔ Integrative Medicine ✔ Medical Weight Loss With a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery , Dr Frere completed an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (FPD) Cum Laude in 2017 and is an Exco Board member of AAMSSA.

She brings with her a wealth of knowledge with Hormones and Integrative medicine and is a certified Medical Weight Loss Practitioner for the Slender Wonder Program. Dr Frere is an astute practitioner, combining all her disciplines in a holistic way.
