If you are taking any chronic medication, please check that you will have enough medication to get you through the holiday season. Book your appointment with your doctor timeously to renew your prescription and avoid any last minute (desperate) phone calls or emails for prescriptions ☎️💊👍

To all my patients, and the surrounding communities, I went into pre-term labour and have therefore had to close my practice sooner than I had anticipated. I am now home with my beautiful, healthy little boy and we are both well.

I am not able to take any calls or respond to any new emails, although I am trying to get through the emails that were sent last week just before I was admitted to hospital. Please bear with me, as my days are quite busy at the moment, and sleep is minimal 👶🏻🙃

I will be back around mid-September, but I'll post an announcement closer to the time to confirm the date.

On 22nd February 2023 the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) declared a measles outbreak in Cape Town. South Africa has rolled out the National Measles Supplementary Immunisation campaign for children aged 6 months - 15 yrs. This campaign is being run from 6 February to 31 March 2023.
Top 3 things parents should know about measles:
1. Measles can be serious
2. Measles is very contagious
3. The measles vaccine is safe and effective

Visit your local doctor if your child is symptomatic and requires testing.
