Today was Hermie's 2 years post operation check up. It went amazing. Prof Graewe says everything looks amazing 👌☺️. The next time we have to visit him will only be before Hermie goes to school ❤️❤️❤️.

Today we had Hermie's one year post operation check-up with Prof Graewe. We are so thankful to share that he is very happy with everything. He says that Hermie's head circumference is starting to even out nicely, which is great news.

We are extremely happy... And needless to say, so is Hermie 😍💜😊

It is with great excitement and joy that I share the following news with each and every one of you following Hermie's journey >>🥳

We have received confirmation that the medical aid paid all outstanding medical bills!👏👏

Nothing less than a miracle! 😇❤️

We are extremely thankful, also to everyone who contributed until now.

Hermie is doing absolutely amazing.. He recently started walking👶🏼🚶‍♂️... And talking more and more 🥰. I often find myself admiring him, because if we do not tell people his amazing story, they would never even know that he had such a big operation. He is the happiest little angel 💓.

Good evening💙

Just letting everyone know that Hermie is doing absolutely great.. No one would even know he went through such a big operation if we don't tell them about it.. He is such a little "charmer" (His nickname at crèche 😅💙), stealing everyone's hearts with his big blue eyes. His hair is also covering his big scar.💕

Unfortunately the hospital has started with collection procedures since we have not been able to pay the outstanding amount, even though we have had some donations - Thank you to each and everyone 💙

We are also awaiting the medical aid for feedback regarding our ex gratia application.. But I believe we will get there.

Luckily Hermie is healthy and ultimately that is all that matters 💛

Baba Hermie is doing absolutely amazing.. He is 10months already and just the happiest baby ever 😍😍😍❤️. He is very active (Which of course keeps us very busy) and likes to get up against EVERYTHING. He doesn't like to be helped either 😂.

Unfortunately, after almost 4 months we are still struggling with the medical aid.. Outstanding hospital bills are around R170 000.. Jip, read that again 🙈.. So I have added the link to the Backabuddy fund again.. I believe that every little bit makes a lot 🙏❤️

💙Update💙

Prof Graewe is very happy with Hermie's recovery. We only have to go for a check up again in October 2022.

Now Mommy and Daddy have to make sure this little pokkelokkie doesn't fall off the bed, because damn he is fast 🤣💜😁

Hey everyone ❤️

Sorry for not posting any updates the past few days. We were just settling in after the hospital stay and enjoying every moment with our boy.. Moments we so often take for granted 😊

So we had a check up with the plastic surgeon Prof Frank Graewe today. He is very happy with Hermie and the outcome of the operation. There is a significant change in the shape of his head at the back and front. We will go back again in a month just to pop in.

It has not even been 2 weeks and Hermie is already his old friendly, happy self. His sleeping pattern was a bit off during the first week which left us feeling extra tired but that has also started to improve already 💜.

Parents that went through this kept on reassuring us that he will bounce back from this surgery so fast... During the week in the hospital it sure didn't feel that way but now I know what they mean...
Also, he is a true fighter (actually the meaning of his name), our little cranio warrior ❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜

Once again, thank you to everyone from all over who have been thinking of us and checking in regularly. We have been telling Hermie about all of you 🥰
