Does your SPF actually prevent signs of ageing?
We’ve all heard it — up to 80% of visible ageing is linked to sun exposure.
So if you’re wearing SPF… you’re covered, right?
Not exactly.
Yes, sunscreen helps protect against the development of fine lines, pigmentation, and loss of elasticity.
But here’s where it gets interesting:
SPF doesn’t tell you the full story.
It mainly measures protection against UVB (the rays that burn your skin).
The real question is:
👉 Are you protected against UVA — the rays that age your skin?
Because if not… your “anti-ageing” step might be incomplete.
