We start 2026 off with Basic WATSU® training in

Followed by Transition Flow (together these 2 courses are known as WATSU® 1)

16 - 19 January 2026

Next we go to Hermannsburg in KZN for Basic WATSU®

23-25 January 2026

In Cape Town our Basic WATSU® training will be from

27 February - 1 March 2026

This Ted Talk will make you think very differently about your sleep.

Another aspect of assisting improved sleep is a regulated nervous system.

Did you know that the heart sends more messages to the brain than the brain sends to the heart?
It’s a lot more than a blood pumping machine It influences how we think, feel and make decisions.
Maybe that is why people and cultures throughout history have talked about the heart as a source of wisdom.

The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) — the current that sets the tone of awareness.

The ANS shapes how the inner feed is experienced:

⚡ Sympathetic =

When regulated ~ energy, readiness, waves rising

When dysregulated ~ fight, fright, flight

💧 Parasympathetic =

When regulated ~ rest, restoration, calm waters

When dysregulated ~ freeze, dissociate, shut down

When the body feels safe and supported, the RAS filters clearly — like sunlight through calm water.

When tension or overwhelm is present, the feed becomes clouded and narrow.

🌬 A gentle reset:

Take a slow, mindful exhale which lasts longer than the inhale.

Notice the softening of the body and the subtle settling of internal currents and rhythms (breath, pulse, muscle tone)

Awareness becomes clearer, like light reflecting on still waters.

The ANS sets the mood of awareness.

Breathing slowly and noticing body sensations supports clarity in perception, creating space for ease and presence.

🌿 Meet the Inner Algorithm 🌀

Ever notice how certain things stand out, while others fade into the background?

The brain carries its own built-in “social-media algorithm” — the Reticular Activating System (RAS).

Emerging from deep within the brainstem, the RAS filters which signals reach the surface of awareness.

Only a small fraction of what’s happening — inside and around — becomes consciously perceived.

💡 Attention trains the algorithm.

When focus gravitates toward stress, pain, or fear, the inner feed begins to fill with more of the same.

When moments of calm, gratitude, or connection are noticed, the feed gently refreshes toward ease.

✨ A simple practice:

Pause for one breath.
Notice a single, pleasant detail — a sound, a colour, a texture.

In that instant, the RAS is being guided to highlight what nourishes.
