MEDICAL ADMINISTRATOR – ONCOLOGY PRACTICE
Location: Panorama, Cape Town

A busy, specialist Oncology Practice is seeking a compassionate, professional and highly organised Medical Administrator to join our team.

This position requires a mature, emotionally intelligent individual who understands the sensitive nature of oncology care and can engage with patients and families with empathy and respect.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) – essential
Previous experience in a doctor’s practice (specialist practice experience advantageous)
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
Computer literacy (medical practice software experience advantageous)
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment
Personal Attributes

Kind, patient and compassionate
High emotional intelligence (EQ)
Professional and well-presented
Hardworking and reliable
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Strong attention to detail
Key Responsibilities

Medical aid authorisations and billing support
Managing patient files and clinical correspondence
Liaising with patients, doctors and multidisciplinary teams
General administrative duties within the practice
We are looking for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of supporting patients during a vulnerable time in their lives.
