Goal setting is my go-to for the first session of a new year. I love involving my speech kiddies directly in the process to:
๐Ÿงฑ promote buy-in - taking the time to help them understand WHY we are working on these goals
๐Ÿงฑ learn what is important to THEM, both in and out of the speech therapy room so that we can incorporating their interests and motivations into the intervention process
๐Ÿงฑ teach self-advocacy and give them a sense of autonomy over their intervention journey
