🍲 Celebrating Partnerships That Make a Real Difference

A huge thank you to Barbara from Dinner In a Dash Meals for partnering with Adonai House to bring Food Socks to families in our community.

Thanks to Barbara’s generosity and support, the first Food Socks are going out this weekend in our care packs, with the very first one delivered today!

Every Food Sock costs R59 and provides a nutritious, easy-to-prepare meal.

💛 An inspiring morning at Blouberg International School 💛

On Monday I had the privilege of speaking to the Grade 8 through to Matric — about disability awareness, inclusion, and the work we do through Adonai House. The students were incredibly attentive and engaged, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine compassion for families caring for children with severe disabilities.

Conversations like these matter — because awareness is where inclusion begins.

During the talk, the Rotary Interact Club surprised me by presenting a cheque for an incredible R5,420 raised for Adonai House! 🙌

This generous donation will go directly towards our care packs and helping us make Easter extra special for the families we serve. 🐣💛

To the Interact Club and the whole Blouberg International School community — thank you for your compassion, generosity, and willingness to make a difference. Young people like you give us so much hope for a more inclusive future.

If your school, youth group, or organisation would like to host a disability awareness talk, we would love to continue these important conversations.

A huge thank you to Royal Oak British Pub & Restaurant for hosting another wonderful Charity Bingo Night in support of Adonai House! 🎉

As always, it was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, great community spirit, and lots of excitement around the bingo table. Events like this are not only so much fun, but they also make a real difference in helping us continue supporting families caring for children and young adults with disabilities.

We are incredibly grateful to Terrie McMillen, and the team at The Royal Oak for their ongoing generosity and for choosing to support our mission. Your kindness and commitment to the community mean more than you know.

Thank you to everyone who came out, played along, and supported the evening. Every game played helps us continue bringing hope, practical support, and encouragement to the families we serve. 💙

🍲 58 Meals… and Counting.

Something beautiful is happening in our community.

Through the support of generous donors and partners, we have begun Stocking the Food Sock — providing simple, nutritious meals for families caring for children and young adults with disabilities.

So far, together we have already secured:

🍲 58 Food Socks = 58 meals

These meals are possible because of the kindness of people who chose to help.

One small meal.
One moment of relief.

Because of this partnership, just R59 provides a nutritious meal for a family.

And we’re just getting started.

Today we celebrate a very special person in the Adonai House family – Happy Birthday, Bonita! 🎉

Bonita Gordon is one of the directors of Adonai House, and while she may prefer to work quietly behind the scenes, her role is incredibly important to everything we do. Without her support, guidance, and willingness to stand with us, Adonai House simply would not be able to function the way it does.

We are so grateful for her steady presence, her belief in the mission of supporting families caring for loved ones with disabilities, and for the way she continues to help hold the foundation of this organisation.

Bonita, thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your support means more than words can say.
