Holistic made easy 🌿
Simple switches I made this week 🤍

☕️ Coffee at home
Slowing down enough to make my coffee at home has become a little ritual I actually look forward to. Using a proper mug (not a takeaway cup) feels more grounding. Choosing locally sourced beans means fresher flavour, but also supporting real people and small growers. It’s a small shift, but it invites me to be present, grateful, and start my day rooted instead of rushed.

🥕 Organic veggies
Richer taste, more nutrients, fewer pesticides. It’s not just about flavour, it’s about reducing what I’m putting into my body; fewer chemicals, fewer pesticides, less interference with how God designed our food to nourish us

🥛 Supporting local (almond milk swap)
Swapped store-bought for homemade, local almond milk; no gums, stabilisers, or seed oils. Just real ingredients.
If something lasts weeks on a shelf, it’s worth questioning…Real food is living, it doesn’t need to be engineered to last forever and if making it yourself feels like too much right now, supporting someone local who does it beautifully is such a great option.

🪥 Natural toothpaste + bamboo brush
Your mouth is one of the fastest absorption pathways in the body. Most conventional toothpastes contain ingredients you wouldn’t knowingly ingest… so switching to a non-toxic version just made sense.

🥤 Glass over plastic
Being more mindful of microplastics because we’re absorbing plastic daily…
Swapping to glass for water and food storage means less chemical leaching (especially with heat) and a cleaner, simpler option for everyday use. It’s a small shift that supports both my body and the environment, without overcomplicating anything.

🌿 Little steps, big impact
It’s not about perfection but it’s about about coming back to God, our bodies, and a slower, softer way of living.
Small swaps done consistently make real change.

Sometimes the best thing for our nervous system is to just laugh 🙏🏼✨🩷

Who were you at 17?

I think often the journey of finding who you are often involves going back to who you were.

At 17 I felt completely free.
Old enough to have independence
young enough to get away with what we did with it 😇

I had such fire in me then
this unyielding sense of adventure
I was led completely by my heart.

I had so much passion
and I was loud
for God, for environmentalism, for anti-human trafficking ❤️

I was deeply in love with Jesus
but rebellious in a
‘society doesn’t make much sense to me so I don’t want to conform but I’m not gonna go to jail’ kinda way…

When I say I had no fear I meant it.
I chased f r e e d o m and I wanted freedom for others too.

I spoke freely, I stood up for what I believed.

But somewhere along the line I was taught to be quiet.
My “no” became a maybe.
Then an “okay, fine.”

The girl who feared nothing
was shown what to fear.

But becoming a peacemaker eventually meant there was no peace inside of me.

The last few months I feel God has been stripping back ideas, expectations, opinions, labels
I have had placed on me
and I placed on myself.

I’ve had to confront some deep core wounds and as my nervous system has been activated; I’ve been lost at times.

I had to surrender to a process that I wasn’t sure would drown me, or revive me.

But when I finally surrendered, God rushed in.

He showed me I don’t need to be what others want me to be.
I can be loved even in the mess.

He’s reminding me He gave me a voice for a reason.
That I have gifts and knowledge that others need.

That my yes should be a ‘Heck yeeee’ and my no, isn’t to be negotiated.

And that God has been instilling in me the principles of Overflow Wellness my whole life.
So I can trust Him
and 17 year old Jords wasn’t so wrong
so maybe I can trust myself too… 🥹🙌🏼✨

So this is your invitation:

To come back home.
To your body.
To your spirit.
To the way God designed you.
To live gently.
Softly.
But deeply strong.

It might look rebellious to the world…
But I think 17-year-old you
would be proud.

The goal is to eat real food, the way God intended 🤍

Whether you eat meat, vegan, vegetarian… that’s your choice, but what we all have to recognise is how much our food has changed.

Crops sprayed with chemicals, genetically modified ingredients, hormones, trans fats, seed oils (things our bodies were never designed to consume) yet try going into a supermarket and picking up 5 items without them in. It’s scary…

Somewhere along the way, we moved so far from what’s real. From family meals to eating whilst rushing out the door. From home cooking to quick fixes packed with addictives; preservatives, stabilisers, emulsifiers, artificial colours & flavours.

It’s not about being perfect
it’s about small, intentional changes:

Make your own - start small like bread (in lockdown you loved it)
Buy organic
Support local (farmers)
Olive oil / coconut oil > seed oils
Baking soda washes on store bought fruit/veg before eating
Cook with your kids (& watch how quickly you’ll care what you put in food 😉)

My life in Bali is simple I make my own coffee most days, cook at home, buy local produce, choose organic and avoid overly processed food as much as possible.
Nothing extreme. Just conscious. 🌿

Because how we eat is deeper than just food; it’s about respecting our bodies, honouring what God created and living more in tune with nature. 🌿

Food is medicine, fuel & we either use it to heal or to harm… 🍋🥦🌶️🥑🍠🍳🥩

Less noise, more truth… 🕊️

This page used to be about wellness; about wholeness found in Jesus, and living in harmony with God, ourselves, others, and the natural world… but somewhere along the way, I fell a little out of alignment.

Instagram is a loud space. It’s easy to follow trends, to chase growth, to create what performs… but I lost sight of why I started.

And I don’t want to build something that looks good but isn’t rooted in truth. ✝️

As an educator, my heart is to help women come home; to God, to their bodies and to the way we were always designed to live.

Because real wellness doesn’t start with what we eat or how we move…it starts with Him ✝️

We were all created for relationship with God, and everything we need for a healthy, peaceful, abundant life has already been given to us through His design and through the earth He placed us in. 🌎

So this space is going back to basics, letting you receive all you need so you can give from the overflow ✨

Eating real, unprocessed food 🌱
sunlight ☀️
intentional movement—strength, stretching, walking, flowing 🏃🏼‍♀️🏋🏼‍♀️
nervous system support through slower, mindful training 🧘🏼‍♀️😮‍💨
community over isolation 🫂
natural healing 🌱
clean, filtered water 💧
living simply and sustainably ♻️

Less striving. Less noise.
More truth. More alignment. More Him.

So If you’ve been feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or like something’s missing… You’re in the right place 🤍🙏🏼✝️🍋

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

The more I’ve fallen in love with God, the more He’s gently taught me how to love and care for myself. Not in a self-obsessed way, but in a way that removes the pressure to be whatever society says I should be.

For years I felt that quiet weight of pursuing the ideal body, the expectations, the comparison.

But focusing on God changed me.
Spending time with Him and reading His word renewed my mind; and when that happened, the pressure lifted (in all areas of my life).

Getting older, I’m honestly just proud and thankful for what this body can do…
How it adapts.
How it gets stronger.
How it carries me through 10km runs at sunrise with a full heart and steady breath 🙌🏼

It made me feel like a kid again, that freedom to run and move and play ✨

When we care for our soul first — when we let God bring peace to our mind — everything else follows.
We fuel better.
We train smarter.
We push ourselves from love, not from lack.

I don’t run to prove anything anymore.
I run because I love it.
I run because there’s something special about moving because we get too, not because we “have too”.

A healthy body really does start with a renewed mind.
And that renewal begins with loving Him first. 🤍

I’m still her… the girl who loves yoga. Who meets God in the stillness of the morning.
But I’m also the woman who’s rebuilding after a season that nearly broke her. Who trains hard, lifts heavy and knows there’s wisdom in getting strong.

Wellness isn’t just green juice and deep breaths.
It’s spiritual and physical. It’s tender and tenacious.
It’s opening your Bible… and then going to war for your healing.

Overflow Wellness is a space for women like you and me— Women healing from trauma, heartbreak, anxiety and burnout.
Women who want to feel safe in their bodies, strong in their minds, and anchored in their faith ✝️

This is your reminder: you can be both.

And you’re never alone.
