AMALGAMATION OF SELVES

There is no single “I”
For we are an amalgamation
Of sensations and emotions
Of perceptions and beliefs
Of expectations and yearnings
Deeply held in our core
Forged by our ancestry
From their unhealed histories
From their yeses and their nos
That have chartered for us this life
This collective nervous system
that holds the unwavering pulse
Of what was
And stirs us
In what has yet to come

Our lives are built on stories
On strengths and struggles
On hopes and prayers
And deep within our cells
We carried them
Our bodies taking counsel
From griefs held in our DNA
From unspoken sorrows
That stir us in our everyday lives
From unprocessed traumas
Living inside of us
Waiting to be reclaimed back to safety

There is no single I
For who we are
Are our ancestors
What they held on
We get to relive
What they couldn’t let go
We get to keep
What kept them safe
Became our comfort zone

We are an amalgamation of selves
Of nervous systems across time
And our life’s work is an honoring
Of souls whose strengths brought us here
Of lives with struggles and scars
That etched in us a beauty
That we have yet to uncover
That we have yet to heal

Hello my friends, there is a lot happening in our 'sleepy' village on Saturday. To give people the opportunity to experience some of the awesome community initiatives here, I have decided to do a 1/2 day constellations workshop on Saturday rather than a full day. We will gather from 10am - 1pm for constellations. Then we will meet later for a dance with Carly Tanur from 6:30pm. ❤💃⭕🌕 I'm excited to open circle with you in this auspicious time! 🦁❤️‍🔥
