We are geared to provide long-term care to those who can no longer live independently or who are recovering from an illness or operation.

We decided to do something really different for a Healthcare Christmas lunch this year. Residents families and friends were invited to share the lunch together. The Village dining room was closed to the residents and about 75 happy people gathered together. It was a really heartwarming occasion with a lot of chatter. The dining room looked beautiful and our chef and her team did an amazing lunch for everyone. This turned out to be such a successful event that we shall now do it every year. Our thanks to all those families and friends who came to share a Christmas lunch with their relatives and who helped to make the occae something really special.

We had another visit from our therapy miniature horse! A beautiful calm mare called Dreamy. What a wonderful chance for our residents who petted her in the lounge and some in their rooms. Thank you, Sandy, and we look forward to another visit.

What excitement we had in Healthcare! At last we have managed to find a therapy horse! She is an American miniature horse who is used to coming into health situations. The residents weren't told anything except that there was a surprise coming, and they were blown away when this gorgeous little mare walked in. She allowed all who wanted to pat her to do so, and then visited some residents in their rooms. We will have a visit each month from either Bambi or her mother, Dreamy.

The Fish Hoek Pre primary school came to give our residents a carol concert. This was arranged by our wonderful OT, Kim. Some love singing was followed by the children giving the residents a Christmas card and a chocolate.
