There is no need to grieve.
How often times we grieve our spirit for wrong reasons. If we do good to others and they dont appreciate us is that our problem? If we try to make our intetions very clear to be understood and yet others ignore is that our fault? When we do something with good intention and yet its interpreted wrong is that our fault? No that is not our fault. People arround us have a choice either to notice the good we do or to do away with it. Its entirely their choice and we can not do anything about it. To try and convince them otherwise is to try to override their right of choice.
So embrace yourself and never burn out your candle for others with the expectection that they will also burn theirs out for you. Such expectation will make you a saint today but a witch tomorrow.
Do good because you are good not because you expect something in return, for such is trade and not goodness.
Doing the right thing is like watering your own spirit, it gives you satisfaction that has nothing to do with what you get in return.
