🌿🇿🇦 Heritage Day at Huis Nuweland 🇿🇦🌿

This past Friday, our manager treated all residents and staff to a special Heritage Braai — filled with laughter, music, singing, dancing, and of course, delicious braaivleis!

It was a day of joy and togetherness, where staff and residents celebrated side by side.

🎉 A Heartfelt Thank You and Congratulations to Feedem on your 50th Birthday! 🎉

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Feedem's 50th birthday here at Huis Nuweland! 🥳✨
It was a day full of joy, laughter, and incredible food. Our residents and staff came together to honor the amazing team at Feedem who not only provide top-notch kitchen and cleaning services but also make our home a better place every single day. 🍽️🧹

Thank you Feedem, for your unwavering dedication, kindness, and hard work. You truly make a difference in our lives, and we are so grateful to have you as a part of the Huis Nuweland family. Here’s to many more years of partnership and celebration! 🎂💐

Our Manager Edwin Barnard, and the head of our residents committee Tersia Verwey, along with 13 of our residents are geared and set for our 67-Minutes of Care on Mandela Day tomorrow 🙌🏽

We'll be heading to the Cape of Good Hope SPCA with our donations from residents and management, along with plenty of special treats to those pets in need.🐕🐶🐈‍⬛

It's a small gesture, but the little we have to give will go a long way🙏🏼

Thank you to our residents who donated - cash, food, blankets, and treats! And a BIG thank you to our Manager for this great initiative!

We're looking forward to spend the day with all the furries!

February, the month of love, brought an extra dose of warmth to our home! While love and respect are a part of every day here, the 14th was truly something special.♥️

Our manager Edwin, went above and beyond by treating us to a delightful Valentine's Braai under the sun. 🔥🌞

From live music to tasty snack platters, thoughtful gifts, and dancing the morning away, it was a day filled with joy and laughter! 🎶💃

Our amazing staff joined in the fun with singing and dancing, spreading love throughout the day. A big thank you to Lorraine and Lauren for all your help, Debbie for the lovely music and entertainment, and to Feedem for the stunning table settings and delicious dessert! 🍰

It was a special, spectacular, memorable, fun, and loving day that we will cherish forever! Thank you to everyone who made it so wonderful! ♥️

This week for a change of scenery, some of our residents hopped onto our Brenda Bus to visit Jean and Ferdi!
Jean and Ferdi visit our residents weekly, as part of our Pets as Therapy program, and Wednesday it was a treat to Ferdi, as it was his Birthday!!
Doggy snacks, cake, tea, and scones all around!🐕‍🦺
