This is the look Toby gives you when he wants a treat… and honestly, who could say no? 🐾😼
Toby is such a gentle soul. You can literally have a full conversation with him, he answers with the sweetest little meews. He’ll stroll over with a soft purr and flop down for belly rubs like he owns the place (which he probably does 😉).

Just like our residents at Huis Nuweland, Toby enjoys the very best food and is surrounded by love, attention and care every single day. 🤍

At Huis Nuweland, continuous maintenance and renovations are part of our commitment to creating a space our residents are proud to call home. 🌿
Our TV lounge is a favourite gathering place, where Netflix, YouTube, DSTV and DVDs reign supreme! 🎬🎥 We have a very active and loyal movie club that meets six evenings a week, a wonderful time of relaxation, laughter and shared stories.

We extend our sincere thanks to our loyal staff for their hard work and dedication in every renovation and improvement. Your care and commitment truly make a difference every day.

It’s this ongoing care and attention that makes the Home so popular and so special. ✨

What a special Valentine’s Day at Huis Nuweland ❤️
We had the privilege of welcoming Councillor Mikhail Manuel (Democratic Alliance ward representative), who visited with a thoughtful Valentine’s gift for our residents. His kindness and personal touch made the day even more meaningful for our seniors.

He is always approachable, keeps us informed about matters affecting our area, and remains accessible to both staff and residents. Visits like these remind us that our community is seen, valued, and cared for.

Thank you for showing that the City cares, not only in service delivery, but in heart.

Wat ’n heerlike Valentynsdag-braai by Huis Nuweland! ❤️🔥
Met klómp foto’s om die dag vas te vang, kan ’n mens net weer beleef hoe daar gelag, gesels en saam gekuier was. Die gees was vrolik en vol liefde.

Feedem– Anthea Sinclair en haar span het ongelooflik hard gewerk aan die pragtige dekor, lieflike kos en uitstekende diens. Bestuurder Edwin het gesorg vir ’n smaaklike braai. Julle moeite het beslis nie ongesiens verbygegaan nie.

Ons personeel het ons inwoners met soveel sagtheid en aandag versorg, elke bord is met ’n glimlag bedien, elke behoefte raakgesien, en liefde is in elke klein gebaar gewys. Dit was ook besonders om te sien hoe die Huis Nuweland Badisa- en Feedem -spanne saamgewerk het met omgee vir mekaar. Daardie spanliefde het uitgestraal na ons inwoners toe.

’n Spesiale dankie ook aan Debbie Barnard Kemp van PucknBake vir die heerlike nagereg wat almal se soettand gelukkig gemaak het! En dankie aan Debbie Boltman wat met haar musiek groot vreugde, saam sing en dans oomblikke gebring het 🎶

Dit was vir ons ’n voorreg en ’n plesier om ons spesiale inwoners op Liefdesdag te kon dien en bederf.

Our residents were spoiled with a very special visit from the service group boys of Wynberg Boys' High School 🌹
They arrived with beautiful roses, warm smiles, and open hearts, but more than that, they brought meaningful conversations and genuine connection.

It was also extra special to have a Wynberg Boys’ alumnus captured in the photos, a wonderful full-circle moment. We are deeply grateful for the time they spent with our residents. To witness young men showing such respect, kindness and care toward the elderly in our community is truly inspiring.

Compassion at its best. Thank you Wynberg Boys' High School 🫶
