From romance stories to gripping crime and mystery stories, there is always someone quietly enjoying a good book. It’s truly special… and something the younger generation can learn from.

Reading keeps the mind active, brings comfort and routine, offers companionship, and creates space to reflect, escape, and keep learning — at any age.

In a fast-moving world, our elderly remind us to slow down, turn a page, and take in a story.

Perhaps it’s time we follow their example. 📖✨

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in transforming this space into something truly special, a place that is now usable, beautiful, and inviting for our residents 💙

This is also a wonderful space where families can come together, connect, and share meaningful memories 🌿 We are so excited to see how our residents will enjoy this space every day and all the wonderful moments still to come.

Thank you as well to our Feedem team for the delicious snacks and refreshing drinks that made the occasion even more special.

At Huis Nuweland, care is more than a duty... It’s a calling.

Our nursing and caring staff travel far, work long hours, and give of themselves in ways not everyone can. They walk alongside residents through both the beauty and the heartbreak of aging, building meaningful relationships and sometimes having to say goodbye.

From developing care plans and ensuring medication is given correctly, to showing patience and keeping residents active and engaged. Their impact is felt every single day. This work isn’t easy, but it is deeply meaningful. Thank you for your compassion, dedication, and the love you show so freely. 🌿
