Happy Social Work Month to all the past, present and future Social Workers ✨

We found it important to celebrate this significant month as our organisation is pioneered by Social Workers.
As an organization, we see ourselves as the wing of the State and the Community as our services extend to places where Government and Corporate South Africa cannot reach.  Our social work background is amplified in this regard, as the primary goal of social workers is exemplary public service through helping needy people address, manage and resolve various social problems.

As mentioned in our previous post, is grounded in Social Work values thanks to our CEO and Founder - Vuyo Makapela.

Vuyo Makapela is a registered social worker with 8 years of experience in all fields of specialization in the social work profession. She has 15 years of experience in stakeholder management, skills development, and community development and with a passion for family reunification. 
Her major fields of expertise are: 
* Clinical social work (trauma counseling, PTSD, TF-CBT)
* Child and youth services
* Services to families
* Older persons
* Probation and Correctional Services
* Supervision (clients, workers, and students)
* Presentation, report writing, and research. 
When she is off the clock, she prides herself in self-care and travel. Self-care is a very important aspect of a social worker’s life as our work takes so much from us. And as our CEO, she leads by example.

Welcome to our home.

Kwakhanya Social Enterprise Foundation was established in 2019 and founded on the principles of creating opportunities for others whilst transforming our society, in general, through our services. Holistic is not only a word that is used in this organization, but our founding principle. This organization is taking the shape of the people's needs and the societal challenges from students who struggle with getting internships, to homeless people, the elderly etc.

Not only do we provide the services but we are on the ground, working in the formerly disadvantaged communities and outside these communities gives us a direct understanding of the needs of the people and communities. We have first-hand experience and the know-how to deal with and help others to overcome.

In our organization, we see ourselves as the wing of the State and the Community as we reach in places where Government and Corporate South Africa cannot reach. KSEF is also a CSI project of Vee’s Healing Hub, which aims to uplift communities in such a way that the quality of life is generally improved and safeguarded.

We don't serve the numbers, however, we are genuine in our work.

Mission: Though not a simple one, we remain committed to the goal of reducing poverty stressors in marginalized communities
Vision: To realize the national transformation of the socio-economic advancement and protection of the most vulnerable citizens.

Our Slogan: "Kwavela thina Kwakhanya" We appeared and suddenly there was light.

Kwakhanya means that there is light.
