Please note that our practice will be closed from 25th December to 6th January for the holiday season. We will only be seeing emergency Newborn patients through the hospital’s booking system.

Prematurity is a risk factor for hearing loss. The risk is higher for babies born before 32 weeks of pregnancy or with a birth weight under 1,500 grams.

Because children learn to speak by listening and processing what they hear, hearing concerns that go undetected can affect the early learning and language development that lays a foundation for success in school and life. This is why Newborn hearing testing is important. Early detection = Early intervention
