We truly are blessed with such a vibrant Volunteer Group. Monthly they pull together events hosted on site to entertain or enhance resident life.

Just two weeks ago it was full on entertainment!

Shukran to everyone that contributed to making it happen! It is a beautiful gift to make an elderly loved one smile, Alhamdullilah for their joy!

It isn’t possible to capture our Saturday!

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the live broadcast, accompanied by the presence of much loved voices from radio and the company of our Volunteer Group and Members.

This is just a snapshot but the interaction and festive atmosphere meant a great deal to them. The VOC team have done wonders with this kind gesture, and given meaning to supporting our elderly to live with dignity.

Sheikh Moutie Saban delivered an inspiring message that resonated with everyone present. The Ratieb also added a special energy to the day.

May this barakah, connection, and warmth spill over into each contributor’s life, Ameen.

Shukran to Voice of the Cape for leading this collaboration with our Volunteer Group. Shukran to each and every community member that has contributed. We can’t wait to see the final handover. These contributions make very real impact to our institution and is a tangible cost-saving to us.

Your generosity means everything and our residents will directly benefit in their day to day personal hygiene, Alhamdullilah. Tune in on Saturday for the live broadcast from Beit-ul-Aman in The Golden Hour!

Last year 5 of these young men from Rondebosch Boys High School joined us on site to complete their community service hours.

This year they were accompanied by another 10! Imagine the energy these 15 young men brought along with them? Imagine the happiness of our residents for this company?

Big thank you for choosing Beit-ul-Aman. If you are a High School learner looking to complete your hours, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team to make the arrangements!

Let’s build our communities bringing in young people - so they may be well-rounded citizens.

It is with pride we share an update on an intervention we fundraised for as part of our Pledge Line this year; the installation of mechanical ventilation across our common areas.

This means, right now, our residents are enjoying their meals, lining up in the safs for salaah or lounging on the furniture in toasty warmth.. and in summer will be cooled.

Thank you to each donor, to the generosity of our supplier and the team who came on site under the watchful eye of our residents!

Last night we were welcomed into studio to speak with Yahyaa Ismail about the Sanitary Drive initiative between Radio Voice of the Cape and Beit-ul-Aman.

It was a wide-ranging discussion that covered many topics pertinent to elderly care. We are thankful for this initiative that will culminate in a LIVE Broadcast from Beit-ul-Aman on 5 July 2025. This closed event will be brought to your airwaves, don’t miss out and TUNE IN!

Shukran in anticipation of your generosity in supporting this drive. Sanitary and personal hygiene products are costly, and this makes a significant every day impact in the lives of our residents.

Last weekend we hosted our Annual General Meeting. We were grateful for the opportunity to reflect and report for the period April 2024 - March 2025.

Thank you to the new members and broader community that opted to spend their Saturday afternoon with us and engage on progress opportunities and challenges.

It was a milestone for Aunty Fouzeah Hajwani who has spent close on 30 years associated with BUA and has opted to not be up for election onto the board. We cannot sufficiently articulate our appreciation for her invaluable contributions and service and know her commitments to our institution will continue.

And lastly it is heartsore to post this after the passing of Uncle Naadir Agherdien. May he be granted the highest of places, and may we all be inspired by his legacy Insha’Allah ameen.
