I’ve been struggling with socials a lot lately. I honestly don’t know what to post anymore. Most of this year was spent behind a computer, reading journal after journal until I was dreaming about p > 0.05. My desk setup wasn’t Pinterest-worthy. My days felt too “boring” to share. It’s nice to have bits of my life back again… but some things haven’t changed.
Like the damned dishes.
And deciding what to eat every day.
And living in old t-shirts.
I think I’m just a little tired of the perfect, curated, highlight-only version of life we see here. And I see how much it affects people. In sessions, the same theme comes up over and over: “Everyone else seems to have it together.” But they don’t. We just don’t post the messy bits. Most of us are doing our best in messy houses and normal bodies.
If you ever feel behind… you aren’t.
Here’s my contribution to the mess. 🤍

The Artists Way Book Club 2026 🎨

Join our little WhatsApp bookclub while we work through Julia Cameron’s The Artists Way (I am DETERMINED to get through it this time)

The Artist’s Way is a 12-week journey (✨through hell✨ and back again).
You don’t need to be a painter, a writer, or a musician. You don’t need to consider yourself a typical “artist” to find significant benefits from The Artist’s Way.
This book is for anyone interested in exploring their creativity (and creativity comes is many, many forms) and connecting to their inner self.
I’ve read heaps of “self-help” books, none of them have kicked my ass the way the Artist’s Way did.
If you have questions regarding the book, please pop me a message, I’ll do my best to answer them.

Our Bookclub is very casual. We meet online from time to time, but otherwise discussions happen in our WhatsApp group.

Anyone is welcome to join🙏 the WhatsApp group link is in my bio.

Somatic meditation is a practice of awareness through the body… a way of listening to sensation, movement, and emotion as the language.
It’s mindfulness embodiment, where we learn that the body is not something to overcome.

Instead of a “top-down” process driven by the thinking mind, Somatic Meditation uses a “bottom-up process”. It involves accessing a meditative space through the feelings, sensations, visceral intuitions, and felt senses of the body.

Let’s talk about a cooling pranayama practice: Sitali Breath ❄️
This technique is known for its ability to soothe and calm the mind and body, especially during those hot summer days or moments of intense emotions.

How to do it:
* Sit comfortably with a straight spine.
* Stick out your tongue and curl the sides to form a tube.
* Inhale deeply through the “tube,” feel the cooling sensation as the air passes over your tongue.
* Close your mouth and exhale through your nose.
* Repeat

Give it a try and let the waves of calm wash over you

Hello, wonderful humans! I’m Cait, a dedicated and passionate yoga instructor with over 500 hours of certified training.
My journey with yoga began in my teens, initially as a means to manage anxiety and insomnia. What started as a therapeutic practice quickly became a profound love for the fluidity and mindfulness of yoga. At 19, I embarked on my first teacher training in Johannesburg, and although teaching yoga wasn’t my initial plan, the mat kept calling me back.
In 2017, I founded Udaya Yoga (originally Meraki Yoga) in Somerset West, focusing on private sessions and classes tailored for seniors and children. The studio found its first official home when I moved to Nelspruit in 2018, blossoming into a welcoming space for all.
I’m versed in various styles, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and Ashtanga yoga. My heart, however, is drawn to the creative flow of Vinyasa. My classes strike a balance between gentleness and challenge, catering to both the body and the mind.
Beyond my foundational training, I’ve delved deeper into the world of yoga, completing courses in Ayurveda, yoga therapy, meditation, and advanced teacher training. These experiences have not only enriched my teaching but also my personal journey.
Yoga has become more than just a practice for me; it’s a cornerstone of my life, leading me to new passions and paths I never would have discovered otherwise.
I’m excited to share this transformative journey with you, blending ancient wisdom with a modern understanding of the mind and body.

Qualifications:
200hr Vinyasa Yoga Training
100hr Ashtanga Yoga Training
300hr Multi-style Yoga Training
200hr Vinyasa Training
BSocSci Psychology
Cert. Counselling & Management

☀️ Meet Robyn ☀️

Hello! I’m Robyn, the intuitive fairy, dedicated to guiding you in discovering your authentic flow while making movement joyful and healthful. With a Drama degree from Stellenbosch University and a YTT 200 certification from Udaya, I’ve evolved into a teacher passionate about nurturing students’ intuitive curiosity and playfulness.
In my classes and movement workshop, I emphasise intuitive and somatic explorations, inviting students to shed societal expectations and embrace their authentic potential in mind, body, and breath. As part of this training, I’ll be working alongside Cait, contributing morning flows, leading movement workshops to shift focus from the mind to the body, and facilitating Asana labs. Through these sessions, we’ll delve into healthy asana alignments, explore variations, and uncover numerous benefits.
Let’s explore, play, and unearth the magic of yoga in a way that’s uniquely ours.

Join us for a transformative 12-week journey through Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way.”
“The Artist’s Way” is book designed to help individuals unlock their creative potential. It is popular among writers, artists, and anyone interested in exploring and developing their creative abilities. The core philosophy of the book is that creativity is a natural and vital part of life that can be nurtured and developed.
The book is structured as a twelve-week course, each week focusing on a different theme or aspect of the creative process.
Key elements of Cameron’s method include:
1. Morning Pages: This is a daily practice of writing three pages of stream-of-consciousness thoughts, ideally done first thing in the morning. It’s intended to clear the mind, identify fears and obstacles, and tap into one’s intuition and creativity.
2. Artist Dates: These are weekly solo expeditions to explore something fun or interesting. The idea is to spark inspiration and joy, feeding the creative mind.
3. Recovering a Sense of Safety, Identity, and Power: The book addresses issues such as self-doubt, fear, and limiting beliefs that can hinder creative expression.
4. Spiritual Connection to Creativity: Cameron emphasizes the connection between spirituality and creativity, encouraging readers to explore and develop this relationship.

Someone who doesn’t consider themselves a typical “creative” can still find significant benefits from “The Artist’s Way”. The book is designed not only for established artists but for anyone interested in exploring and enhancing their creativity.

And of course, there will be yoga and plenty of meditation 🧘‍♀️
