Some teachers carry a quiet depth that you feel long before the class even begins and it brings me such joy to introduce Jackie, who is now part of the Nova Holistic Wellness community 💚💚💚

Jackie’s relationship with yoga has always been deeply personal. For her, the practice is a return to embodiment, a space where breath, awareness, and movement meet. In a world that often encourages us to push harder and move faster, yoga became her way of reconnecting to steadiness and presence.

In 2020, she travelled to Rishikesh, India, to complete her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, immersing herself in both the physical practice and the rich philosophy and lineage behind yoga. This foundation shapes the way she holds space today, with intention, gentleness, and respect for each individual journey.

Jackie teaches from the belief that yoga is not about achieving the “perfect” pose, but about meeting yourself honestly on the mat. Her classes invite you to slow down enough to listen inwardly, move with awareness, and discover strength that grows from connection rather than force.

You can join her for Intermediate Vinyasa Yoga on Thursdays at 18:00 and Saturdays at 09:00. These classes offer a steady, thoughtful flow for students ready to deepen their practice blending breath-led movement, mindful transitions, and moments of grounding stillness that leave you feeling both challenged and supported.

I feel incredibly grateful to welcome her energy, wisdom, and calm presence into our space.

Meet Vuyo

I’m so excited to welcome Vuyo to the Nova Holistic Wellness family! She is a warm, insightful, and deeply thoughtful teacher whose approach to yoga is rooted in connection, with your body, your mind, and your life.

Vuyo is a certified 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher, trained through@wellnessconnectionyoga . Since qualifying, she has hosted monthly community yoga gatherings, blending reflective yoga and journalling to help participants pause, reconnect, and explore themselves in a safe, nurturing space.

Her philosophy is simple yet profound: our relationship with ourselves forms the foundation for an expansive life experience. Movement is the key to unlocking this, and through her classes, Vuyo guides you to reconnect with your body, awaken your creativity, and step fully into your personal agency. She believes in the transformative power of stillness, mindfulness, and nature — her approach, “disconnect to reconnect,” encourages you to find flow by tuning into yourself and the world around you.

💚Movement as Medicine — Mondays at 10:00
In this class, Vuyo will guide you through intentional, nourishing movement designed to ease tension, support recovery, and prevent stress-related strain. You’ll explore mindful sequences that send energy to the joints, muscles, and fascia while awakening presence and clarity of mind. Every session is a gentle yet empowering reminder that movement is medicine, not a luxury — an essential practice to care for your body, mind, and spirit.

I can’t wait for you to experience the depth, care, and heart Vuyo brings to every session. Her classes are an invitation to reconnect with yourself, flow with ease, and embrace your body’s intelligence.

Spotlight on Karen

Many of you already know Karen, but today we want to celebrate her and the heart she brings to every class at Nova Holistic Wellness. 💚💚💚

Karen is a certified yoga teacher for adults and children, rooted in the beautiful rhythm of life in Cape Town. Her journey with yoga began out of curiosity, but quickly became something far deeper. In a world that often feels fast and demanding, yoga became her steady anchor, a space to soften, to listen, and to reconnect with what truly matters.

Living by the ocean and surrounded by nature constantly reminds her of the power of pause: slowing down, grounding into the body, and moving with intention. This is the calm, present energy she brings into every class, helping students reconnect with themselves and their bodies in a gentle, mindful way.

Her weekly classes:
💚 Thursday 08:30am – Morning Yin
A slow, meditative practice with long-held poses that target the body’s deeper connective tissues. Perfect for releasing tension, improving flexibility and joint mobility, and giving your mind a moment of calm and stillness in the middle of your week.

💚Sunday 09:15am – Morning Reset (Stretch & Slow Flow)
A gentle, energizing practice to start the day feeling refreshed and balanced. Combining mindful stretches and flowing movements, this class helps release tension, improve circulation, and promote clarity of mind — leaving you grounded, calm, and ready for the day ahead.

My heart is so full welcoming the beautiful Caitlin to the Nova Holistic Wellness family 💚💚💚

Community has always been at the center of everything we do here, and when the right people find their way into this space, you just know. I am truly so excited and grateful that Caitlin will now be sharing her teaching with our community.

Caitlin trained as a Ta**ra Yoga teacher in India in 2017 and has since moved between India and South Africa, teaching in studios, gyms, retreats, and yoga teacher training programs. Her additional training includes Hatha, Yin, and Aerial yoga through a traditional ashram, with a strong focus on therapeutic yoga and evidence-based practice.

Her teaching is grounded, gentle, and deeply supportive. She prioritises clear fundamentals and accessibility, creating classes where everybody feels safe to move at their own pace and reconnect with their body and mind.

💚 Mondays | 17:30: Meditation in Motion- Slow Flow
A slow, mat-based practice focused on deep supported stretching and nervous system regulation. Movement is intentional and minimal, allowing space for breath, awareness, and release. Props are used throughout to encourage comfort and ease, a beautiful class for anyone seeking calm and restoration.

💚 Tuesdays | 09:00 :Yoga for Absolute Beginners
Perfect for those new to yoga or returning after time away. Expect slower paced classes with clear instruction, foundational learning, and supportive use of props to encourage safe alignment. No flexibility or prior experience needed, just come exactly as you are.

I honestly cannot wait for you all to meet her and experience the calm, care, and wisdom she brings.

There’s something really special about this season at Nova Holistic Wellness 💚💚💚

As we move into March, a very meaningful month for us , we’re stepping into a new chapter. Growth sometimes asks us to do things differently, to trust the process, and to expand beyond what feels comfortable. Moving over to the booking system is part of that growth, creating an easier and more supportive experience when booking your classes and sessions.

But even more importantly… our community is growing.

If there is one thing I have always placed at the centre of this space, it is community. Nova was never meant to be just a studio. It was created to be a place where you feel seen, supported and welcomed exactly as you are, grounded in our guiding values of care, compassion and community.

Over the coming weeks you’ll start seeing more teachers and more classes joining the schedule. Each person coming into this space has been chosen with intention and heart, because protecting the feeling of safety, connection and belonging here matters deeply to me.

My hope is that this next season brings more joy, more movement options, more connection and more opportunities for you to find what you need, whether that’s strength, rest, healing or simply a moment to breathe.

I’ll be introducing you to all of our amazing new teachers soon, sharing who they are and the magic they each bring into the space.

And while I’ll save the real celebration for later this month… March also holds a very special milestone for Nova Holistic Wellness.

Thank you for continuing to grow with me and for being part of this beautiful community.

With love and gratitude,
Candice ###

✨ Yoga Teachers Wanted ✨
Table View, Cape Town

I’m opening a few teaching slots in my boutique yoga studio and looking for heart-led, aligned teachers who want to grow their classes and help build a close, supportive community 🤍

This is a small, intentional space led from the heart. I’m deeply passionate about mentoring yoga teachers and supporting their growth ,especially newer teachers finding their voice. My approach is body-inclusive, accessible, and grounded in real connection, not perfection.

I provide the studio space, booking system, admin and infrastructure. Classes run under my studio, with attendance-based pay and strong incentives to grow your own students. Teachers are encouraged to actively market their classes and grow both their offering and the wider studio community.

If you’re looking for support, collaboration and genuine growth, I’d love to hear from you.

This is the time of year when so many women reflect on everything that happened, and everything they didn’t say out loud.

If you’re ending this year with:
• a quiet ache
• a decision you know you need to make
• a version of yourself you want to leave behind
• a voice you’re finally ready to reclaim
• a hope you’re scared to admit

Just breathe.
Awareness is the first step toward transformation.

What you can do today:
Take a piece of paper and write:
“2025 taught me…”
Then let yourself be honest.

If you’d like to start 2026 with clarity, direction and support, my January coaching slots are almost full, send me a message and we’ll chat.

Your body may be feeling heavy, tired, puffy, tight or overstimulated after the last few days, and that’s normal.
This season affects our bodies more than we realize.

Here’s a practice for today:
Legs up the wall for 5–7 minutes
Slow neck rolls
Seated forward fold with soft knees
Hands on belly, long exhales

Not to “fix” anything.
Just to listen.

Yoga isn’t about punishing yourself after Christmas.
It’s about coming home to your body again, gently, kindly, fully.

If you want to start 2026 with movement that feels safe, inclusive and made for YOUR body… message me.
Private sessions open 12 January.

Christmas lands differently for every woman.

For some, it’s joy and laughter.
For others, it’s loneliness, grief, overstimulation, or emotional heaviness.
Some women are doing their best to keep it together for their children.
Some are navigating complicated families.
Some are celebrating.
Some are simply surviving.

Wherever you are today, I want you to know this:

You are not forgotten.
You are not failing.
You are not alone.

May today offer you at least one moment of softness.
A breath.
A pause.
A small reminder that you matter.
That you’re worthy of peace.
That gentleness belongs to you too.

Sending you a warm, grounded, real Christmas hug. 🤍 and a very Merry Christmas from my heart and home, to yours.

A gentle reminder that Nova Holistic Wellness will be closed from 1–10 January.
Not because healing stops, but because we all, including me, need space to breathe, rest and recharge so I can hold you fully in the new year.

But don’t worry, I’ll still be here online with support, reflections and guidance.
The physical doors may be closed, but the heart of this work stays open.

If you want to secure your coaching, yoga or massage sessions for January, you’re welcome to message me, spots always fill fast this time of year.

December can be beautiful… and also chaotic for your body.
Late nights, rushed meals, emotional eating, celebrations, exhaustion, it all shows up in your energy, digestion, skin, mood and sleep.

Here’s the truth:
You don’t need a “perfect” festive season.
You just need awareness.

A small practice I give my nutrition clients this time of year:
Eat something nourishing before every event or gathering.
Not to restrict yourself, to SUPPORT yourself.
When your blood sugar is steady, your emotions don’t rollercoaster as quickly.

A boiled egg.
A handful of nuts.
A piece of fruit.
A slice of avo with salt.
A small yoghurt.

Tiny things.
Big difference.

Try it today, and notice how your body thanks you.

There’s a moment I see often in the women I work with, a quiet moment, usually somewhere between exhaustion and realisation.
It’s when a woman looks at her life and thinks:
“I can’t keep living like this… but I don’t yet know what the ‘next version’ of me looks like.”

This week before Christmas can stir so much:
old patterns, triggers, unresolved things, loneliness, pressure, family dynamics.
But it can also stir truth.

And your truth is this, just like the chameleon:
You’re allowed to change.
You’re allowed to choose differently.
You’re allowed to step out of survival and into yourself again.

Something you can do today:
Ask yourself gently:
“Where am I abandoning myself?”
Then choose one small way to return to your own side.

If you need support, reach out.
You don’t have to walk your transition alone.
