Learn to massage the elderly. This course is for anyone who works with the elderly or who has elderly family members and want to learn how to massage elderly people. You will learn a seated massage routine, a side-lying routine, head and face, arms and hands, legs and feet. In the course you`ll learn to relax tight muscles, use massage to reduce swelling (oedema) in the legs and feet, as well as warm up stiff joints in the hands and knees. You don`t need a massage table to do these routines. This is a short course of 2 days, with practical in-person and one-on-one classes. Cost R2670 which includes the manual, 2 videos to help you practice and a certificate of completion. Classes in Tableview. Indian head massage is a wonderful modality to relax and soothe the body, mind and nervous system while working on specific points to release tight tense muscles on the upper body, shoulders, neck, head and face. During this half-day in-person course you`ll learn the Indian Head massage routine and specific Marma and Acupressure points to relax, calm and release tight tense muscles. This is a seated massage routine, done in a normal chair. As it requires no special equipment, the Indian head massage can be done for friends, family members, or clients or be a wonderful add-on to therapies such as councelling. What I love best, is to help people by teaching them new skills. These skills they can use to get a new or better job, or open their own startup salon or treat their friends and family to some TLC.
