An astrocytoma is the most common type of glioma—a brain tumour that originates from astrocytes. While it primarily affects the brain, it can also involve the spinal cord. Many astrocytomas are treatable, and some can be curable, depending on their grade and stage.

Combining hyperthermia with standard treatment for astrocytoma has been shown to significantly improve the 3-month treatment response rate by 480% and increase the 5-year survival rate from 25% to 83%—a 3.4x improvement.

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide, with approximately 660,000 new cases reported in 2022.

Signs and symptoms of cervical cancer include:

Research in South Africa has shown that three-year survival rates more than double when hyperthermia (meHT) is combined with standard chemoradiation for locally advanced cervical cancer. Using the same EHY2000 device, the number of patients who were disease-free at three years was 32% higher in the hyperthermia group compared to those who received chemoradiation alone.
