In art therapy, this “lie” is the image, the colour, the shape, the metaphor — not literal, not factual, not explained.

And yet, it tells the truth.

Art becomes a bridge between what we know and what we don’t yet have words for.
Between the inner world of feelings, memories, and sensations — and the outer world, where they can be seen, held, and reflected on.

Sometimes the truth lives beneath language and words.
It shows up as a heavy line, a torn edge, a burst of colour, a messy space.

When we create, something inside moves from felt → seen
from unknown → known
from inside → outside

And once it exists outside of us, we can relate to it with curiosity, compassion, and new understanding.

In this way, art is not just expression.
It is connection.
A gentle crossing between worlds.

An active Conscious Ending: Saying Goodbye to 2025 ✨
Needing to work with the ending of 2025 somatically - allowing what needed to be processed and released to move, shift, and transform through art.
So I wrote down my 2025 difficult words and experiences the year carried, letting them spill out onto the page. I scribbled, smudged, added water and made a delightful mess. Then I tore it all up!
The fragments became something new - a mosaic, a background, a holding surface on a brown package.
The words dissolved. The past was let go...
I placed the "BYE 2025" on top- ready to be released.
A reminder that endings can be processed, felt, moved through and consciously acknowledged.
If you’re craving a gentle transition into the new year, try this:
Let the mess come out, let it change form and shape, and choose what you want to carry forward 💛

The world is moving faster than our nervous systems can keep up. AI can support creativity and efficiency, but it can’t replace human connection, presence or the healing power of art-making. In 2026, Art Therapy matters more than ever.

Read this blog to explore how AI and Art Therapy can work together — ethically, creatively and humanly.

As 2025 comes to a close, many of us are feeling stretched! This year has brought fast change, subtle “micro-endings,” and a sense of being constantly switched on.

December invites us to pause. My latest blog explores Conscious Endings — how slowing down, reflecting and creating can help us process the year and prepare meaningfully for 2026.

If you’re longing for grounding, clarity, or creative reconnection, this one’s for you. 💜

Reflect on your year with this creative exercise.

Corporate Art Therapy Teambuilding 🎨🤩 Dec 2025
This managerial team stepped away from screens, deadlines, and year-end pressure - and into colour, creativity, and connection.

Through guided art therapy processes, the team explored communication, connection and new ways of seeing one another. It’s amazing what happens when people slow down, make art, and reconnect with themselves and their colleagues.

Thank you to this wonderful team for showing up with openness, curiosity and of course their innate creativity.
