Modern humans originated in Africa within the past 200,000 years. Being part of a group meant safety in numbers as dangers included threats to survival. Our brains haven't changed much since the Stone Age and still have the same fight or flight response to danger.

It operates on the 'better safe than sorry' principle and would rather set off ten 'false alarms' than miss one real danger. This means that you are prone to suddenly feeling afraid, even when there is no real danger. 🦁

Your brain isn't very good at telling the difference between real threats in the world vs. imagined threats that you are just thinking about. Sometimes it will set off the fight or flight response for imagined threats!

What is karma?

Karma is the concept that “What you put out comes back to you.” Another way of saying this is, “What goes around comes around.” The life experiences activated by positive and negative thoughts shape the character of our lives. Yes, this concept sounds kind of “New Agey.” However, this insight is, in fact, a primary principle of the most valid of all the sciences, quantum physics. As an article in the prestigious scientific journal, Nature, by physicist Richard Conn Henry, concludes, “The universe is immaterial – it’s mental and spiritual. Live and enjoy.” The idea that our mental activity shapes our life experiences is a fact of science!

🔥Burnout🔥is a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, frustration, and dissatisfaction. It often occurs as a result of overworking, poor work-life balance, a lack of social support, and feelings of being unappreciated or undervalued in one's job or personal life. Symptoms of burnout can include chronic fatigue, sleep disturbance, anxiety, depression, irritability, and a general sense of detachment or cynicism.

To 💧overcome burnout💧, it is important to practice self-care and prioritize activities that promote physical and mental well-being. This can include taking breaks from work, engaging in regular exercise, getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, and seeking social support from friends, family, or an RTT®️ Therapist. Additionally, setting boundaries and learning to say no to excessive work demands can help prevent burnout from recurring. Finally, finding meaning and purpose in one's work or personal life can help rekindle motivation and provide a sense of fulfilment, leading to a more positive outlook on life. 🪄

Even negative things like "I had such a bad day. I need some sweets or a drink to feel better and relax", is nothing more than a habit.

The good news is that you can unlearn negative habits by repetition as well. No sugar in your coffee for at least 10 days? Give it a go! 😉🪄

Did you know that we operate from our subconscious mind 95% of the time? 💡
When we drive and get to our destination, we often realize that we cannot even remember the journey at all or how we got there. 🚗

Scary as it may sound, that is actually us tapping into our subconscious mind which is a similar feeling you might experience during hypnosis. Either way, you're always fully in control! 🧠

If you sing a (happy) song, you can't worry about something else at the same time. That is because the mind cannot hold conflicting beliefs. There is a reason why politicians and WWE wrestlers make an entrance to music. It changes their mental state and the audience's. 🎙

As a child I was made to sing in the choir and other school events and even though I'm a talented singer, I hated it so much because I didn't have a choice. I tried staying away from practice but the trouble I got into afterwards just wasn't worth it. So I continued to sing until I finally quit after several years and never sang again.

I recently found myself singing (to myself) again for the first time since childhood because I reframed my old, limiting beliefs. Here's the conflicting beliefs: Singing makes me happy vs. I hate singing because I was forced/punished to do so.
