As parents, your support can make a big difference. Here are some ways to help your kids:

🌼 Create a Conducive Environment: Provide a quiet and comfortable place for studying.
🌼 Encourage Breaks: Make sure they take short breaks to relax.
🌼 Be Supportive: Offer emotional support and encouragement.
🌼 Healthy Snacks: Provide healthy snacks and meals.
🌼 Celebrate Efforts: Celebrate their hard work and efforts, regardless of the results.

What are the signs of exam stress?

Stress can manifest in physical, mental and emotional ways and affect behaviour. If it’s impacting your child or teen, they might struggle with:

👉 An upset stomach
👉 Headaches
👉 Disturbed sleep
👉 Loss of appetite
👉 Being irritable
👉 Low mood
👉 Lack of communication

If your child seems stressed about exams talk to them. Assure them that you love them and support them and that their results don't define who they are. Encourage them to do their best and ask them how you can help them study for their exams. Keep their extracurricular schedule as light as possible and allow them to focus on their exams.

If their anxiety and stress continue after the exam period consider taking them for play therapy to find the root of the problem.
