Green Point parkrun

Green Point parkrun Free, fun, 5km timed run/walk around Green Point park and precinct - register at www.parkrun.com We have a "no barcode, no result" policy.

Creating a social and accessible parkrun group for the Green Point, Cape Town area. Every Saturday at 8.00am unless stated otherwise (cancellations announced on our Website, Facebook and Instagram page). The start is just inside the East gate Entrance of the Green Point Urban Park. Google Maps has our preccise location too...

Green Point parkrun is a free and timed 5km route welcome to anyone of any fitness level. Don't forget to bring your barcode, printed, scanned on phone or smartwatch QR code in order to receive an official result. All you need to do is register on the parkrun website at http://www.parkrun.co.za/register/form/ and a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you with a barcode. Once you have registered with parkrun, the barcode that you receive can be used at any parkrun in the world. Green Point parkrun is a volunteer-based event. Once you have run 15 parkruns, please consider volunteering once. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short leash and one dog per person. No bicycles are allowed on the course. Parking allocation for parkrun

- [ ] Public street parking in Main Road & Bay Road
- [ ] P13 & P14 (Public parking closest to the start/finish points)
- [ ] P5 (subject to approval of Cape Town Stadium on application)
- [ ] A-Track (overflow when the above are full or unavailable)

Oh yes, it's that time of year when the cycle tour village takes over our precinct. 🚲🚵‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴 Good luck and safe riding for those taking to the roads on the 8th. For the rest of us, let's meet up and run - or volunteer - at one of the other great parkrun venues nearby. 😏

We’re getting ready for another fantastic Green Point parkrun this Saturday, and we still need 8 amazing volunteers to make the event happen.

Volunteering is a brilliant way to:
* Be part of a top‑notch, welcoming team
* Soak up the vibrant parkrun atmosphere
* Receive huge thanks and smiles from hundreds of grateful parkrunners

2 × Static Barcode Scanners
1 × Finish Token Support
1 × Run & Scan
3 × Marshals
1 × Tail Walker

No experience needed — full briefing and support provided on the morning.
