Meet Elijah 💛

Elijah has Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM)- a rare neurological condition that affects the spinal cord, leading to sudden weakness, loss of muscle tone, and reduced reflexes, especially in the limbs.

To support Elijah’s movement and stability, we designed and fitted custom KAFOs (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthoses)- giving his lower limbs the structure they need while he stands, walks, and builds strength in rehab.

Swipe through to see the casting process, the final orthoses, and Elijah working hard in his rehabilitation sessions with specialist adaptive equipment.

We’re passionate about supporting the movement and freedom of children with conditions like Elijah’s- so they can keep doing what kids do best: growing, exploring, and finding their own way forward. Thank you so much to Elijah and his family for allowing us to share this process.
