Bohemians are a different breed.

On Thursday Dylan competed at the WPC World Championships in Durban and won gold in his category.

But because he is in the middle of exams at university he left before the medal ceremony to fly home to write an exam the next morning.

Two days after that he was on duty as a lifeguard and was part of a very dramatic rescue in which he was one of the first responders who provided CPR to a man pulled out the ocean unconscious for over 20-minutes. (He survived due to the efforts of the young lifeguards on duty).

Not only is Dylan physically an incredibly strong young man but mentally and emotionally he has a strength that is admirable and I could not be prouder to have someone of this calibre on my team.

Debbie has a goal. She wants to do better at bench.

It’s not your average 66-year old woman’s goal, but there’s nothing average about our Darkhorse Debbie.

So it has started. First video is a double on the empty bar. Second video is her 7th set of doubles. She ain’t playing 💪🏻

She trains with more intensity than most half her age. And with more determination and commitment.

Watch this space, this time next year Debbie will have some serious weight on that bar.

And I fully intend to have her on the Nationals platform too 🫶🏻

WPC Worlds 2025

12 Bohemians hit the platform

Representing not only their country but their club.

It was an epic moment that had so many jagged parts to it that it will take time to settle into the memory banks in one particular place.

We might be a small team but we have the gees of an army and from every lifter who represented to the supporters in the crowd and back home it was a truly special experience from start to finish.

Bohemians walked away with:

🥇 7x First place World Championship titles
🥈 4x Second place
🥉 2x Third place
🤘🏻1x 6th place

🏆 4x New World Records

You were a force to witness how you came back from the squat to dominate on the bench and deadlift!!

Your fierce determination to podium and prove your worth was worth every ounce of energy you put into it

The most heartbreaking moment of the year but you picked yourself up and showed up for your team to support and love them in a way only a true legend can do 🤍

You are an untapped talent I cannot wait to dig into - every lift was an experience to witness!!

You never leave a moment of doubt in your effort on the platform and your energy and enthusiasm is electric!!

Always trying to fly under the radar but always showing up at the last minute with a staggering surprise I can’t wait till we can rebuild you from the inside out!

Despite a year of injury and setbacks you still showed up and gave it your best shot and stayed right to the end to support your team!!

Still surprised you only entered 3 categories you must be slipping! Always a treat to watch and so much fun backstage too!!

Our gentle giant who has a stupid amount of strength inside and out but cries at the drop of a hat we adore you!!

and Our teen boys who juggled exams to be here! Always making us laugh and still with so much potential to tap into!

Our number 1 supporter and team manger. We couldn’t have done it without you 🫶🏻

What a week!!! So proud, so happy and so contented ❤️

Meet the Bohemian Battalion WPC Worlds 2025 Team that will be representing not only their club but their country in the first week of November at the WPC World Championships in Durban.

I could not be prouder of this group of badasses, each one of them brings something different to the team and together we are deliberately loud and unapologetically fun.

My heart bursts with pride each time one of them hits a PB and regardless of titles I am so excited to see each one of them fulfil their potential as athletes on a world platform, something most people will never experience.

We don’t live a “could have been me”’life.

We’re not meant to sit on the sidelines and watch all the time.

We’re not meant to be extras in our own biographies.

Take the chance.
Do the scary thing.
Feel nervous, anxious, self-doubt - and do it anyway!!

There is no right time.

There is only now.

I am so proud of these Bohemians who took a chance and stepped up on a small in-house comp to test their maxes on Saturday.

It might not have been a full comp, but it was still nerve wrecking to be in front of your friends and family doing something a little scary.

But that’s also the thing about a group like Bohemians- we WANT you to win. We want to see you succeed. Your success is just as important as our own.

So proud of each one of the competitors and just as proud of their team mates who gave up their Saturday to come and support.

It’s a special place, with special people and special moments happening daily.

Blessed to be a Bohemian ✌️
