Our Story
KAHUNA, also known as temple style lomi-lomi, is a 5000 year old therapeutic massage practised by the Hawaiian and Polynesian Kahuna masters. KAHUNA creates the conditions for self-healing, transformation and release. It is an invigorating and dynamic massage that uses rhythmic, dance-like movements to open and relax the body. It has an oceanic quality that can feel like entering into the ebb and flow of the sea. It treats the whole person and reconnects you to your source of love and joy.
KAHUNA MASSAGE is a holistic treatment that offers many therapeutic benefits including: deep relaxation; stress release; emotional healing; supporting immune function, respiration, digestion, circulation, detoxification; relieving muscle tension.
AYURVEDIC MASSAGE is a deep, balancing treatment that nourishes, nurtures and creates a sense of wellbeing. Strokes are long and healing and your body can rest, relax and repair. This massage has many benefits to the body, working with the immune system, respiritory system, lymphatics, digestion and circulation and releasing stress and tension.
AYURVEDIC YOGA MASSAGE incorporates deep assisted stretching with Oil Massage and breathe work. Its facilitates opening, flexibility and deep relaxation. It is both invigorating and relaxing. It is done on a mat on the floor. TALIA YANATE trained in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in Thailand in 2003 with Sidhamo Anand. In 2008 she studied Integrative Massage with Vanessa Kaye and later Kahuna Massage with Anthea Hardwick in Cape Town.
