Senior’s Week at Oasis, was a vibrant celebration of community, wellbeing and togetherness. Throughout the week, Residents came together to enjoy a diverse programme of activities designed to inspire connection, creativity and joy.

Creativity was in full swing during the Senior Art Workshop by Absolute Painting, where Residents got to “Sip and Paint”. This session encouraged
Self-expression which gave Residents a chance to showcase their creative talents.

The highlight of the week was the Golden Oldies Karaoke Night with Savvas at the helm! Residents came out in full swing, sharing their singing talents. Fish and chips were served, and a fun night was had by all!

To end off the week, Morgenster Wine Estate came out to entertain our Residents with an Olive, Olive Oil and Wine tasting. Another enjoyable afternoon to just relax and unwind in the company of others!

Overall, Seniors Week was a resounding success – an uplifting reminder that life at Oasis is rich with opportunity, connection and purpose.

The idea behind our “Back-to-our-Roots” braai lunch was to bring Residents together in a relaxed, familiar setting – a chance to celebrate shared heritage and culture and good food, of course!

We served a variety of classic dishes – Lamb Chops, Boerewors, Chicken Sosatie, accompanied by other traditional side dishes like Pap with relish, Vetkoek and Samoos, to name just a few, ew, and to end off the lovely day, Mini Melktert and Cape Malay Koeksisters were served! A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all!
