Valentine's Day Lunch is always a popular occasion at Oasis Resort, and once again we had a full house! The dining room was decorated in pale pink and red with festive colourful balloons everywhere! A welcome glass of blush wine and the classical sounds of the Cellist Conner Vermeulen (who plays with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra) set the romantic tone for the afternoon.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed a scrumptious three-course set menu: roasted cauliflower and fennel soup, creamy Boursin Chicken breast with wilted baby spinach, or slow-cooked Lamb Shank, followed by heart-shaped pavlova with cream and berries and Turkish delight gelato for dessert. A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all!

The team have received many favourable comments on the aesthetics of the now-complete BESS.

The BESS is closely monitored by a team consisting of members of the Oasis management team, and to ensure that the system is fully operational and delivers uninterrupted power to Oasis as promised during loadshedding bouts.

The system has delivered exactly as required – as one resident put it – “not even a blip when loadshedding kicked in”. The kitchen has also enjoyed the uninterrupted preparation of food for diners.
