Happy Friday, everyone! π
The past two weeks at our iThemba Pre-School have been filled with creativity, preparation, and play. Our little learners have enjoyed painting, pasting, and storytelling - activities that nurture emotional expression and spark imagination.
Excitement is building as our concert rehearsals continue. Our teachers have taken on the roles of directors, guiding learners who are enthusiastically embracing their parts as actors, singers, and dancers. This process builds confidence and performance skills while highlighting the diverse talents blossoming within each child. π
Play remains at the heart of our approach. Through guided activities and free exploration, learners continue to develop important social skills in a nurturing and engaging environment.
In addition, we would like to spotlight our staff Yve for his dedication in our school community. Since 2021, he has been a pillar of safety and care at iThemba, arriving early each day to ensure a safe and welcoming space for all. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yve is a valued team member, passionate volunteer, and lifelong learner. His kindness, commitment, and bright smile are deeply appreciated by all of us. π«Ά
Lastly, we would like to thank Woolworths and Premier Bakery for their weekly food and bread donations, Shoprite for the soup, and Kelloggβs for the delightful noodle donation that brought smiles and full bellies to our children. Thank you to all of our sponsors for their continued support. π
Wishing everyone a safe and happy weekend! π
