Practicing the Feldenkrais Method and Alexander Tecnique are several ways of accessing the somatic art of Not Doing.
One can apply these experiments of self rediscovery into daily living, inviting your being to expand, your arts practice to expand into daily living, your work, relationships and interactions with every possible new moment. Life's quality expands as your awareness opens with conscious intent.
It is a discipline that can be found in Martial Arts and spiritual practices. The repeated challenge is to notice when we get caught up in our head and thoughts, cutting us off from all else within ourselves and around us.
Dramas, ideas, auto pilot emotional investments. It never gets boring..
Uncomfortable. Yes, sometimes. Because to 'pause' is to notice -without judgment, without criticism. To pause and just BE. That can bring up the urge to 'fix!
Can we pause, notice, and just be? allowing our bodies to sort itself out, trusting that it's innate intelligence is to do that indeed, without interference or 'fixing!' 💗
