I feel for you ladies…..
Having an official diagnosis of menopausal is such a relief for so many of my patients. Why? Because the period of absolute chaos that precedes menopause is so unrecognized and unsupported.
These poor 40 -something ladies are battling an invisible enemy that is so destructive and personality altering.
Irregular periods, low s*x drive, brain fog , irritability and mood swings are just a few of the symptoms . But it’s the anxiety and stress intolerance that usually lead them to seek help.
Just because you are under 50 and still have a period does not mean things are alright. I can guarantee they aren’t, but I know you feel they are changeable enough that tomorrow will be better. It will, but it will be back next month and again the next . The transition is gradual but inevitable . You do not need to suffer . Own it ….. perimenopause is real, it’s not in your head , it’s a physiological, biological change . It’s happening whether you are ready or not .
