Our understanding of what causes depression is evolving and so should our approach to treating it. Relational disconnect, hopelessness, trauma, we need to to talk about these experiences and destigmatize the body's response to prolonged exposure to them. We can't carry on medicating healthy responses to unhealthy circumstances.

A new shows there’s no clear evidence that depression is caused by abnormally low levels of serotonin in the brain.

Our Story

Are you unhappy at home or work? Are you okay with your past and how it's impacting your relationships and your success?

Do your emotions get the better of you at work or at home? Is your mood holding you back and bringing you down while you really feel like you could get more out of life? Symptoms like depression and anxiety have a purpose, calling you to action, letting you know there is something you need to heal from, something that needs to change. While going through this process you will feel yourself responding differently to situations that previously overwhelmed you or triggered you. Family members or colleagues who trigger your emotions will "get to you" less and you will be able to choose your responses rather than being ruled by moods or emotions.

Going through therapy should really make you feel the difference, talking won't always get you there, sometimes you need to check in with your body too. This is where body based therapy is different, and often more effective.

Feel free to contact me should you want to know more. I started my journey when I was 14, and going through the process got me from living with debilitating anxiety and self-doubt to being a lover of life, experiences and people.
