✨ Glow from Within! ✨

Discover the secret to radiant, youthful skin with our premium collagen. Collagen is the building block that keeps your skin firm, smooth, and hydrated. As we age, our natural collagen levels drop, -leading to wrinkles and dullness. The peptides within our collagen will help replenish and boost your body’s own collagen production, reducing fine lines, improving elasticity, and restoring that healthy glow.

Why Should You Take Collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body, providing structure to your skin, joints, and connective tissues. As we age, our natural collagen production declines, leading to wrinkles, joint pain, and weaker hair and nails.

Supplementing with collagen can help:

Improve Skin Elasticity – Reducing fine lines and keeping skin firm
Support Joint Health – Easing stiffness and discomfort
Strengthen Hair & Nails – Preventing breakage and promoting growth
Boost Muscle & Bone Strength – Supporting overall mobility and recovery
Collagen is easy to incorporate into your diet through powders, capsules, or collagen-rich foods like bone broth. Adding it to your routine can help maintain long-term health and vitality.

--How Hyaluronic Acid Works--

The size of different HA molecules is critically important for hyaluronic acid’s various functions. Larger molecules are found in healthy tissue and help keep inflammation/free radical damage and dehydration under control (they’re “antiangiogenic and immunosuppressive”). On the other hand, smaller polymers of HA can send distress signals to the immune system and raise inflammation to help with injury or wound healing.

A class of integral membrane proteins called hyaluronan synthases are responsible for hyaluronan synthesis in the body. Humans have three types of these important hylauronic acid synthases for creating HA: HAS1, HAS2 and HAS3.

Hyaluronan binding to CD44 (a hyaluronan receptor) as well as RHAMM (another receptor) is believed to play a significant role in the central nervous system when it comes to things like cell signaling and cell migration.

HA has been referred to as “the key molecule involved in skin moisture.” Just like squalene, hylauronic acid is produced by our bodies and benefits the skin, but both of these inherent skin boosters decrease as we age. You’ll often find beauty products that contain both hylauronic acid and squalene.

Unlike adult skin wounds, fetal skin wounds are known for rapid repair without scar formation. The ability of a fetal skin wound to heal so well is credited to several factors, including high levels of hylauronic acid in an early gestation fetus compared to the lower levels of HA seen in an adult.

In recent years, there’s been an explosion of new natural skin care products hitting the market that contain hyaluronic acid, promising to make skin smoother, plumper, more even-toned and generally more “refreshed” looking. HA is capable of holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water; however, because the size of its molecules are relatively big compared to other acids, it’s never been easy for skincare manufacturers to produce a hyaluronic acid product that actually penetrates and stays on the skin.

Only in the past decade have scientists been able to create technology-advanced HA formulas that are capable of really seeping below the skin’s surface. Recent studies show that topical application of advanced (low molecular weight) HA serums can improve skin moisture and lead to significant reductions in wrinkle depth within just several weeks which is why we stock the low molecular weight HA. HA is beneficial for reducing oxidative damage to the skin caused from both internal and external factors, especially ultraviolet irradiation (also referred to as photoaging).

In addition to UV damage, researchers now believe that skin aging is also influenced by hormonal changes, including decreased production of s*x hormones like estrogen. Decreased estrogen can result in collagen degradation, which leads to dryness, loss of elasticity and wrinkling of the skin (along with other aging problems, such as joint achiness and dry eyes).
Because HA is involved in slowing down collagen loss in addition to reducing fluid or water loss, it can also help improve joint lubrication, reduce pain, and treat various problems of the eyes and mouth.

Some very interesting information on HYALURONIC ACID

-It is very important to apply your hyaluronic acid (HA) to DAMP skin, if the skin is dry and HA is applied it can have a drying effect on the surface of the skin, pulling internal water away from the skin, drying out the skin further rather than drawing water from the surface of the skin, like it does when applied to damp skin.

EVOGENIC'S METHYL SULPHONYL METHANE, MSM

Get your free sample of MSM with every purchase of any one of our products, or purchase 120grams for just R70.

Evogenic’s Methyl sulphonyl methane or MSM is an organic biologically active, sulphur compound that aids in proper immune function, drastically lowers inflammation and aids in the restoration of tissue and joints. MSM is the fourth most plentiful mineral in the body and it is critically required so that the body can function correctly.

Supplementing with MSM helps provide the body with the sulphur it needs to create methionine, which aids in the transportation of chemicals, formation of connective tissue, synthesizing/ digesting foods and absorbing nutrients that are used as energy.

Foods like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts and eggs contain sulphur but when cooked at high temperatures, the sulphur is destroyed. As we cook most of our food, modern diets do not contain the required daily amount of sulphur that the body requires, especially during times of stress or during aging which causes or sulphur levels to naturally drop.

MSM ‘detoxifies’ the body by making your cells release certain problem causing minerals and chemicals that have collected inside the cells. This aids in keeping the body hydrated and lowers inflammation (which is often linked to many diseases). MSM accelerates healing, boosts the immune system and reduces pain as it can remove by-products like lactic acid that are linked to feeling sore, stiff and inflexible.

When MSM enters the body it immediately starts to work as a ‘clean-up’ service that sweeps through the cells removing unwanted chemicals and built up minerals, because of this relief from sore muscles, aching joints or inflammation are almost immediate, other results need two weeks of religious supplementing 3 times daily.

Think of MSM as a natural alternative for pain medication, it takes as little as 40 minutes to show results and remains active within the body up to 4 hours after ingestion.

BENEFITS OF MSM:
• Treats osteoarthritis, inflammation and joint pain
• Improves digestive problems (IBS, Leaky gut constipation, ulcers, upset stomach, indigestion)
• Repairs skin and aids in skin problems such as rosacea, allergies and wounds.
• Lowers muscle pain and spasms
• Restores hair growth
• Helps the body adapt to stress
• Alevites symptoms from allergies and asthma
• Alleviates yeast infections
