We’re incredibly proud of our new Faircape Health Somerset West healthcare, offering high quality finishes, a welcoming café, open spaces, an onsite pharmacy and fully equipped rehabilitation gyms.

Our gyms support physiotherapy, occupational therapy specific rehabilitation, functional rehabilitation and cognitive rehabilitation, all within purpose designed therapy spaces.

With state of the art equipment and experienced clinical teams, patients are supported to recover, rebuild and heal in a modern, well equipped environment.

We look forward to welcoming more patients to experience the facility and the care that sets Faircape Health apart.

Mr Weise arrived at Faircape Health Tokai Estate requiring significant assistance with everyday activities.

At first, he was unsure about the role of occupational therapy, but through a structured, patient-centred rehabilitation programme and the support of the therapy team, he made meaningful progress towards greater independence.

We’ve been busy upgrading our facilities at Faircape Health Somerset West to better support your recovery.

As well as a brand new physiotherapy gym, we have also improved both of our occupational therapy gyms, one for physical rehabilitation, and the other for functional rehabilitation, so that our patients have the perfect space to regain their strength, mobility, and independence.

We have five, full-time physiotherapists and five full-time occupational therapists as part of our dedicated team who are here to guide you in every step of your rehabilitation journey.

At Faircape Health, we witness remarkable recovery journeys every day. 💙

We recently had the privilege of supporting Lucien Haupt, who was admitted to Faircape Health Tokai Estate after suffering from a rare neurological condition called Bickerstaff’s encephalitis with overlapping Guillain-Barré syndrome, a post-infectious autoimmune disorder affecting both the brainstem and the peripheral nerves, leading to symptoms such as balance problems, eye-movement difficulties, weakness and altered consciousness.

With the support of our dedicated interdisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors and psychologists, and through Lucien’s determination and intensive personalised therapy, he gradually rebuilt his strength, balance and independence.

It has been truly inspiring to witness his progress from being fully dependent to managing daily activities with minimal assistance in just six weeks.

World Cancer Day

This World Cancer Day, we are shining a spotlight on the specialised oncological rehabilitation services at Faircape Health Tokai Estate.

Opened in 2016, our purpose-built facility is home to an experienced Interdisciplinary team, who are well equipped and trained to care for and support our oncology patients through the physical and emotional effects of cancer treatment and recovery.

Together, they deliver comprehensive, supervised and goal-oriented care using evidence-based programmes to help patients rebuild strength, regain independence and restore confidence, at their own pace.
