Sin is not our worst enemy; worse than sin is "self." Thus, as a hammer is to the shell of a walnut, so are our mistakes in the hands of our Heavenly Father; God uses them to unlock our spiritual inner nature. On the other hand, if we do not bring our failures to God in humility and repentance, they actually cause the opposite effect: they can create a thicker outer hardness. We may become cynical and angry, blaming others for our difficulties. If we do not see the Lord orchestrating our circumstances, we become entombed in our humanity, never able to see the true life of Christ emerge through us - F.Frangipane

Within the heart of every Christian there is a secret place, a sanctuary we must prepare for the Lord. This holy place is not unlike the holy of holies in the Jewish temple. Not until this place is cleansed will the Lord dwell within us in the fullness of His Spirit; not until this room is pure will we truly become a house for the Lord. – Francis Frangipani

What is Sanctification?
Separating from and withdrawing from the unclean - removing yourself from what is not of God, and withdrawing from fellowship with the unclean, and replacing it with fellowship with God.
We are sanctified by staying and remaining in Truth (Christ).

The crushing is not a disaster; it is an opportunity. You see, our purposeful love may or may not touch the sinner's heart, but it always touches the heart of God. We are crushed by people, but we need to allow the crushing to ascend as an offering to God. The greatest benefit of all is the effect our mercy has on the Father. If we truly want to be instruments of God's good pleasure, then it is redemption, not wrath, that must prosper in our hands. -
