Ultibody classes offers everything you need, before, during and after your pregnancy. Regular exercise during pregnancy is very important, it does not only mobilize oxygen to your fetus, it lowers your risk of getting injuries during your pregnancy and also helps mommy with a speedy recovery after birth (natural birth and C-section birth). It decreases the possibility of developing pre-eclampsia,
sciatic nerve pain and lower back and hip pains during pregnancy and also helps to manage these conditions. Classes are a combination of Pilates, body-weight and light cardio exercises. Mammas and Jellybugs
Classes involving mommy and baby, it helps mommy and baby to get a full body exercise while bonding. Jellybug classes helps babies to strengthen that very important core and back muscles for major milestones (rolling over, sitting, crawling and walking), the classes also stimulates babies motor skills. Mommy does recovery exercises after birth and gets strong while supporting babies increasing weight. More information about the classes:
Pregnancy classes
Pregnancy classes are for expecting mommies 0-9 months. It is a combination of pilates and light cardio mostly using a exercise ball, resistance bands and small free weights. Mommy and Jellybug classes
These classes are for mommy and baby. Mommy and baby are welcome to join:
Natural birth: 4 weeks after birth
C-section: 12 weeks after birth
Please remember to bring a baby wrap or baby carrier, because you will be doing exercises where you need to use your arms while your babies weight is used as resistance. (Baby wrap works best because you can use it for babies exercises as well, if you do not have one just bring a towel to use for baby exercises. )
Shaping class (Bootcamp/Pilates/Toning)
These classes are medium to high intensity full body workouts including a fitness test done monthly (the fitness test is purely for personal motivation) This indoor cardiovascular class helps mommies to get back to their goal weight after their pregnancy. This class is not only for mommies, but also for clients who seek to loose weight and who wants to stay fit so you are welcome to let your friends join you. Private classes are available at your own home (If you are situated in Durbanville area).
