MEET OUR TEAM MEMBER
Kaylon Weppelman (Sogula).
Kaylon is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist with Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and Research Psychology from Stellenbosch University. She completed her clinica internship at Tygerberg Hospital and Stikland Hospital, where she worked across a range of settings, including medical psychology, DBT group therapy, substance use rehabilitation, and child and adolescent psychological services. She went on to complete her community service year at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital, where she worked specifically in the Child & Family Unit - an experience that deepened her interest in developmental psychology, relationship dynamics, and family systems.
Kaylon’s professional interests include working with children and adolescents, as well as supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating emotional or relational challenges.
She has a special interest in neurodevelopmental concerns, mood and anxiety disorders, personality functioning, and systemic work in couples and family therapy.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing primarily from psychodynamic principles while incorporating other evidence-based methods to meet each client’s unique needs. She prioritises understanding each person’s experience and is committed to helping clients better support and understand themselves in a safe and collaborative therapeutic space.
