Pea Soup is one of my absolute favourite winter dishes and it goes so beautifully with freshly baked bread or sourdough.

Healing isn't a straight line.

Some weeks you feel like you've arrived β€” clear, grounded, finally yourself. And then something small happens and you're back in a feeling you thought you'd outgrown.

That's not failure. That's not going backwards.
That's the real work. Learning to hold yourself with the same patience on the hard days that you'd give someone you love.

Going backwards is still going.
You haven't lost the progress. You're just being asked to go deeper.

I'm writing this for myself as much as for you. Last week was one of those weeks. And I'm choosing to believe that the setback is part of it, not separate from it.

You don't need to earn rest.
You were worthy before you were productive.

Somewhere along the way, we were taught that our value lives in our output. In the hustle. In how much we can carry without complaining.

But worth isn't a reward for performance. It's not something you unlock after the to-do list is done.

You are enough β€” not when you finish, not when you achieve.
Right now. As you are.

This took me a long time to actually believe. I still catch myself trying to justify rest. If you do too, you're not lazy. You're unlearning something deep.
