Bonteheuwel Library Celebrates Women's Month with a Successful WISE Program

During the month of August, Bonteheuwel Library proudly hosted the WISE Program—an initiative aimed at empowering and enlightening women in our community. Spanning four weeks from 6 August to 27 August, the program featured a series of engaging and educational sessions.

We were honored to collaborate with a diverse group of organizations and individuals, including:

Saartjie Baartman Women's Center
Author and poet Jacqueline Maart
Old Mutual
Entrepreneur Michelle du Preez
Cecelia from Acasia After School Program
Melissa from LOL (small business owner)
Each session brought valuable insights, inspiration, and practical knowledge to our attendees. With a total attendance of 78 participants, the program was a resounding success—informative, uplifting, and deeply appreciated by all who joined.

A heartfelt thank you to Timothy Amos, Angela, and Bonny for their kind assistance throughout the program. Your support helped make this initiative a reality.

We are proud to have completed such a meaningful celebration of Women's Month and look forward to continuing our mission of community empowerment.

11 July 2025 - Knitting Club - Yet another blessed day. We would like to thank all the knitting ladies for their wonderful work that they have done we really appreciate all the hard work you have put in. Keep the knitting club going.

10 July 2025 - Bookery

We had a fantastic time with Bookery! They told our kids an engaging story, played some fun games, and even gave out some cool gifts. Our children really enjoyed every moment.

We’re truly making the most of the June school holidays with everyone involved!

09-07-2025 - Cupcake Decorating - What a messy day 😁 We enjoyed with our kids of the library, they enjoyed decorating their own design own their cupcakes, also a big thanks to the parents who were here that enjoyed the fun with us we really appreciate the support of the community, we also enjoyed some games that we played with them on the premises we just had so much fun.

What an amazing tournament we had at Kensington Library, the kids were all brilliant and yes, the competition was stressful for the players, but we had fun. A big thanks to Rameez for taking 3rd place, as he is one of Bonteheuwel Library's best players
