LCHF/BANTING is a low carb, moderate protein, and high fat eating plan that is changing lives. Following the LCHF way of life will result in reduced belly fat and weight loss, improved muscle tone, no hunger pangs or cravings, increased energy levels, better skin and teeth, ability to think more clearly , stabilized blood sugar and therefore fewer mood swings and energy lows , reduced risk for diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and Alzheimer’s, stronger immune system, reduction or elimination of allergies, no more bloating and puffiness, improved sleep patterns, lowered triglycerides; increased HDL “good” cholesterol. This 6 week program consists of 6 one-on-one 1 hour sessions over a period of 6 weeks or longer if you prefer the guidance for longer. Sessions can be done face to face or using skype if not based in Cape Town. Clients receive a comprehensive booklet at each session which provides lots of information on the LCHF way of eating, practical exercises, interesting articles and recipes. Men’s hormones run on a predictable daily rhythm.
Testosterone rises in the morning, peaks, and gradually drops by evening.

The same pattern. Every single day.

Women are different.

Our hormones follow a monthly rhythm, not a daily one.
Across roughly 28 days, our energy, focus, appetite, mood, and resilience naturally shift.

Some days we feel strong and clear.
Some days we’re steady but slower.
And some days our bodies are asking us to soften, slow down, and rest.

This isn’t a flaw.
It’s how we’re designed.

Yet we live in a world built around a male hormonal pattern.
Show up the same every day.
Push through.
Expect constant productivity.

No one teaches us to work with our cycle.
So many women spend years feeling exhausted or overwhelmed, when really, they’re just fighting their biology.

Most people don’t realise how many everyday habits quietly drain their immune system. And it’s not about being perfect, it’s about being aware, so you can make small, gentle shifts that support your body to do what it’s designed to do… heal, protect, and keep you well.

These are some of the most common immune disruptors I see every day:
too much sugar, processed carbs, seed oils, toxin exposure, EMFs, not enough protein, over-sanitizing, low sunlight, very little fresh air or movement, medication overuse, and of course… stress.

But here’s the good news: you don’t need to overhaul your life.

Simple daily habits make a huge difference: real food, sunshine, protein, healthy fats, movement, nature, good sleep, less toxins, and calming your nervous system. Start with one small shift and build from there.

One of the most common things I see - and gently remind clients of -
is that it’s not always what’s on your plate that’s keeping you stuck…it’s what’s happening in your nervous system.

You can eat the most balanced, nutrient-dense meals, but if your body is constantly under stress, it can’t truly heal.

When stress hormones like cortisol stay high, your blood sugar rises, even when you haven’t eaten a thing.

Insulin steps in to help, but over time this constant demand leaves your body tired, inflamed, and out of balance.

This is why I see individuals and families making such positive changes, yet still struggling with cravings, fatigue, stubborn weight, or hormonal chaos.

Because when your body feels unsafe…
it holds on.
It protects.
It slows down healing until the storm has passed.

You don’t need to do more - you need to allow your body to feel calm and supported.
That’s when blood sugar stabilises, hormones rebalance, and energy begins to return naturally.

In my practice, this is a big part of what I help clients with - not just what to eat, but how to bring the body out of constant survival mode,
so it can finally respond, repair, and thrive again.
