Trauma doesn’t just live in memories — it can live in the body and mind, affecting sleep, mood, relationships, and even physical health.

💡 Did you know? PTSD affects about 1 in 3 people who experience severe trauma. But early support and therapy can significantly reduce long-term impact and help rebuild a sense of safety and control.

Whether caused by an accident, loss, violence, or any deeply distressing event, trauma can leave lasting emotional scars — but with help, healing is possible.
If you or someone you care about is struggling after trauma, you don’t have to face it alone.

🌱 It Starts With a Conversation: Let’s Talk Mental Health

🌍 World Mental Health Day | 10 October 💚

Talking about your mental health can change everything. When you open up about what you’re going through — stress, anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder — you take a powerful step toward healing.

🧠 1 in 5 people experience a mental health condition, so if you’re struggling, you’re not alone.
Yet, many still stay silent because of stigma. By sharing our stories and listening without judgment, we can create a culture where talking about mental health feels as normal as talking about physical health. 💬

💚 Why Talking Helps
✨ 1. It breaks the stigma.
The more we talk, the more we replace fear and shame with understanding and support.
✨ 2. It reminds you you’re not alone.
More than 30% of South Africans have faced anxiety, depression, or substance use challenges. Your story could help someone realise they’re not the only one.
✨ 3. It opens doors to help.
Conversations can lead to treatment, therapy, and lifestyle changes that bring hope and healing.
✨ 4. It saves lives.
Over 90% of people who die by suicide had symptoms of a mental health condition. Talking — and getting help — can truly make a life-saving difference.

💬 Who can you talk to?
Start with someone you trust — a friend, family member, or colleague.
If that feels too hard, reach out to a mental health professional.

📱 For immediate support, message or call Life Path Health’s 24/7 Helpline: 072 7900 506 (WhatsApp or call).

Remember: Mental health IS health.

Let’s keep the conversation going — for ourselves, and for each other. 💚

🌍💚 Today is World Mental Health Day 💚🌍

At Life Path Health, every day is about mental wellness — but today holds special meaning.

World Mental Health Day reminds us that mental health is a universal human right — something every person deserves, no matter who they are or where they come from.

It’s a day to pause, reflect, and speak openly about what truly matters:
🧠 Taking care of our minds as much as our bodies.
🤝 Reaching out for help when we need it — and offering support when someone else does.
💬 Breaking the silence, stigma, and shame around mental health conditions.

Let’s keep building workplaces, communities, and families where people feel safe to say, “I’m not okay,” and know that help is available.

💚 If you or someone you care about is struggling, call the Life Path Health Helpline on 072 7900 506 for guidance, support, or admission assistance.

Together, we can make mental health a priority — today and every day.

😊 Happy World Smile Day! 😊

Did you know that a simple smile can do more than brighten someone’s day? Smiling releases endorphins—the body’s natural “feel-good” chemicals—helping to reduce stress and lift your mood.

At Life Path Health, we understand that mental health is just as important as physical health. Taking a moment to smile, laugh, or share joy isn’t just a small act—it’s a step towards emotional wellness.

Today, let’s celebrate smiles and the positive impact they have on our mental well-being. Share your smile with someone and help spread a little happiness! 💛
