Mama Bamba Pregnancy and childbirth offer a rare and sacred opportunity to get in touch with the wise, intuitive woman within you.

At Mama Bamba we undertake to accompany you on your journey of birth preparation and provide you with a network of support and friendship that continues beyond birth. We assist you to fully embrace your upcoming labour and birth so that it becomes an empowering, calm and holistic experience for you, your partner and your baby. Loving births which are free of trauma have a lifelong beneficial impact on your newborn baby. Our belief is that women should have support and information with which to make choices about the way they birth and parent. We are committed to providing a respectful environment in which to explore these individual choices. This is particularly important in a context where birth and parenting are increasingly becoming the domain of experts. We know from experience that women who trust themselves and their bodies labour more easily and have less resistance to birth. Part of our vision is to empower women to love themselves and their birthing bodies enough that they trust in their bodies’ wisdom. Our classes and individual therapies weave together the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of pregnancy and parenting. Central to the way we work is the practice of mindfulness. We all have the innate capacity to bring our awareness to the present moment along with the ability to open our hearts to ourselves, our babies and our lives.

We train Doulas in the art of holding birth in a safe, grounded, non-competitive and deeply respectful space.

We believe that true power doesn’t need to dominate or control.
It knows when to stand still, when to soften and when to advocate with integrity.

When a woman feels safe emotionally and fear loosens its grip, birth unfolds with more ease, wisdom and love.

Tomorrow evening we gather for our monthly Soul Babies webinar.

I am so happy to be joined by my dear friend and business partner Amy Monji, craniosacral therapist and doula trainer.

Together we will be exploring birth, bodies, and belonging.
How babies land in their bodies after birth, and how deeply this is shaped by how we, as parents and caregivers, are landed in our own bodies.

We will be speaking about spaciousness at birth, unwinding birth experiences, and the gentle work of supporting both babies and parents to feel more at home in themselves.
