Do you suffer from Headaches?
But nothing you have tried has given you relief!

Especially if you suffer from:
•Persistent headaches (especially at the back of the head)
•Neck stiffness or pain.
•Dizziness or lightheadedness.
•Eye strain and brain fog.

You might be suffering from Myodural Tension Syndrome(MTS)

It’s when the small muscles at the base of your skull (called the suboccipital muscles) put strain on the tough tissue that surrounds your spinal cord and brain. That extra pull can lead to a chain of uncomfortable symptoms like mentioned above.

The good news?
Clinical massage therapy can be a game-changer. By gently releasing those tight suboccipital muscles and improving blood flow, massage helps to:
•Reduce headache intensity and frequency
•Improve neck mobility and posture
•Relieve pressure and tension in the nervous system
•Support long-term relaxation and stress relief

If you’ve been struggling with unexplained tension headaches or neck pain, your muscles might be sending you a message.
Clinical massage offers a safe, hands-on approach to help restore balance, ease discomfort, and get you back to feeling like yourself again.

Don’t just push through the pain — book a session today and experience the difference!

Part 3: Fixing Unhealthy Fascia – Practical Tips

If you suspect your fascia is unhappy, don’t worry — you can turn it around!

Self-care tips:
• Use a foam roller or massage ball on tight spots daily.

• Try contrast showers (warm → cold) to boost circulation.

• Prioritize restorative sleep — fascia heals while you rest.

Clinic support:
At Impulse Alignment Therapy, our massage techniques are designed to rehydrate, release, and restore your fascia so you feel looser, lighter, and pain-free.

Real-life example: Many clients tell us they came in with constant stiffness that stretching didn’t fix — but after fascia-focused massage sessions, they noticed immediate improvement in flexibility and energy.

Book your fascia-hydrating massage today and give your body the TLC it deserves!

Part 2 of our Celebrating Fascia.

How to Hydrate Your Fascia Naturally?

Your fascia loves movement + hydration! Here’s how to keep it healthy:
- Drink water smartly — Sip throughout the day instead of chugging all at once. Add electrolytes (like a pinch of sea salt or lemon) for better absorption.
- Move often — Fascia thrives on gentle, varied motion. Try walking, stretching, yoga, or foam rolling. Even 5 minutes of movement after sitting makes a big difference!
- Massage therapy — clinical massages helps restore glide between fascia layers, rehydrate tissues, and release stubborn adhesions.
- Eat fascia-friendly foods — Collagen-rich bone broth, omega-3s, and antioxidant-rich veggies help maintain elasticity and hydration.

Remember: water alone won’t fix dehydrated fascia — you need movement + nutrients to get hydration into the tissue.

HAPPY SPRING!
This September, we here at Impulse Alignment would like to Celebrate the Fascia! The Big, Magical, unsung Hero of your body!

What Is Fascia & Why Hydration Matters?

It’s the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, organ, and bone — like cling wrap holding everything in place.
When fascia is hydrated and healthy, you move with ease, feel flexible, and recover faster.

But when fascia becomes dehydrated and stiff, you may notice:
- Tightness that stretching won’t fix
- Unexplained aches or “pulling” sensations
- Restricted mobility
- Feeling stiff even after rest

Think of fascia like a sponge: if it dries out, it gets brittle and hard. Keep it hydrated, and it stays supple and resilient.

Stay tuned — in the next post we’ll share simple, daily ways to keep your fascia happy!

Winter might be cozy for your soul, but it can be tough on your body. Cold weather often means stiff joints, tense muscles, and slower circulation — and that’s where clinical massage therapy steps in as your cold-weather hero.

Here’s why clinical massages are a winter must-have:
1️⃣ Boost Circulation: The cold constricts blood vessels, making your muscles feel tight and achy. Massage improves blood flow, keeping your body warm from the inside out.
2️⃣ Ease Winter Stiffness: Reduced activity and chilly air can leave you feeling like the tight. Massage releases tension, increases mobility, and improves flexibility.
3️⃣ Strengthen Immunity: Regular clinical massages support lymphatic drainage, helping your body fight off seasonal colds and flu.
4️⃣ Relieve Seasonal Stress: Shorter days and less sunshine can impact mood. Massage triggers serotonin and dopamine release — your body’s natural “feel-good” chemicals.
5️⃣ Support Injury Prevention: Cold muscles are more prone to strains. Massage keeps muscles supple, reducing the risk of winter sports or daily life injuries.

Winter is the perfect time to invest in your body’s health. Whether you’re an athlete, work long hours at a desk, or just want to feel your best, a clinical massage will keep your body strong, relaxed, and ready to take on the cold!

There is no beter testimony to what you do that a happy client reference!

"I have had a back problem for years. I developed a problem with my left leg when I drove and changed gears by depressing the clutch. On long journeys it was getting very painful. I was under the Welsh NHS Physiothetapy dept who never examined me properly (no hands on).
In April I went to South Africa for a big family holiday. Where we were staying in Somerset West there was a ManualTherapy Clinic.
My stepson had a bad back while we were there and visited the Impulse Alignment Therapy. I decided to give it a go as well. I went to visit Lize of Impulse Alignment and at my first session a diagnosis was found straight away and then worked on over two sessions. It enabled me to travel back to the UK feeling better. The technique she used gave me the relief from pain and discomfort and enabled me to fly back to the UK which was a 24hr trip home with just a little discomfort which I could put up with. I am so glad I met Lize. Thank you from a happy Welshman."

Kind regards
Phil

Attention Long-Distance Runners!

Are you pushing your limits on the road or trail?
Incorporating regular sports massages into your training regimen can be a game-changer for your performance and recovery. Here's why:

Hey athletes and fitness enthusiasts!
Ever wondered how to optimize your performance and speed up recovery?

Sports massages aren’t just a luxury—they’re a game-changing part of your training routine. Here’s a quick rundown of the different types and how to use them to perform at your best:

1. Pre-Event Massage:
Light, energizing massages before competition or intense training help wake up your muscles by increasing blood circulation and preparing your body for action. Think of it as your “warm-up” to keep you agile and focused on the big day!

2. Post-Event Massage:
After a hard session or competition, a post-event massage is your go-to recovery tool. These massages focus on reducing muscle soreness, decreasing lactic acid build-up, and accelerating the repair process so you can bounce back quicker.

3. Remedial Sports Massage:
Target those stubborn muscle knots and chronic tension with deep tissue massage. Ideal for athletes who need to work through dense muscle layers, it enhances flexibility and alleviates pain caused by overuse or strain.

When to Use These:
• Before Performance: Go for a light pre-event massage to get your muscles primed without causing fatigue.

• After Performance: Reserve heavier techniques like deep tissue or trigger point therapy post-event to relieve stress and speed up recovery.

• During Training Cycles: Incorporate regular sessions—especially myofascial release—to prevent injuries and maintain flexibility over the long term.

Give your body the extra support it deserves, and perform at your peak every single time!

Suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Medical Massage for carpal tunnel is the most non-invasive, cost-efficient and effective long-term treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

A Medical Massage addresses the inflammation, pain and numbness by softening and lengthening the muscles and fascia of the neck, shoulder, upper arm, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand.
The practirioner will use comprehensive deep tissue work that will help to release adhesions, trigger points, and tension in the soft tissue.
Many clients experience carpal tunnel relief after the first session, however for long term relief it will generally take 4 to 6 sessions. This will depend on the severity and length of time of symptoms.
