Good evening fellow neighbours,

On a foot patrol tonight we had 9 FENW members present with 2 cars as back-up.

As it was a foot patrol we only patrolled in Fairfield Estate.

We found 21 males and 7 females who we encouraged to leave the area and go to a night shelter.

No drugs were found.

We found and confiscated 5 items that could be used as weapons.

Dear Residents,

Please be extremely cautious when allowing anyone into your home, especially individuals claiming to be from the City of Cape Town wanting to check your electricity meters or perform other services.

✅ Always verify their credentials before granting access.
You can verify by calling the City of Cape Town’s official number:
0860 103 089

Additional Tips to Ensure Your Safety:

- Verify their identity: All legitimate City staff or contractors will identify themselves before requesting access. Their identification will display the City logo, the staff member's name, and a photo.

- Check the ID card: The ID must contain the City logo, the staff member’s or contractor’s name, and an embedded photo. Always ask to see this before allowing access.

- Ask for a work order number: City officials visiting your home will have an official work order number related to the task.

- Report suspicious behavior: If you are unsure, immediately contact the City’s Call Centre or your Armed Response company and Neighbourhood Watch.

Stay alert as we approach the busy "silly season" when incidents like these may increase. Remember, it’s crucial that no one is allowed into your property without proper verification.

Good afternoon everyone,

12 FENW members did a foot patrol this afternoon with 1 car as a back-up.

As it was a foot patrol we only patrolled in Fairfield Estate.

We found
9 males and 2 females and encouraged them to leave the area and go to a night shelter.

We found and confiscated 2 hand made weapons, a knife and a scissors.

We also found and destroyed 2 pipes and a button.

Good morning Fairfield Community.

The FENW (Fairfield Neighbourhood Watch) team sat for this years AGM and voted for the 2025 FENW Leadership.

As a result of that vote we would like to congratulate and announce the new FENW EXCO:
Chair: Kyle Alexander
Vice Chair: TJ Knipe
Treasurer: Clint Torien
Secretary: Ronel De Friedland

We wish this new team all the best and ask for your support as they endeavour to keep our area safe.

With that said, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the former Chair, Riaan @⁨and former Treasurer Siyaam.
They have served in their portfolios for many years with dedication and zeal. Always with a kind heart and passion for our community. It is unquestionable that our area has improved over these years, thanks to, in part, their work and sacrifice.
We thank you and salute you.
During their leadership, we have seen the fencing off of Seddon Park, multiple FENW fundraising, branding of FENW, incorporating radios and equipment to patrols, petrol vouchers, growing of the patrol team, setting up a FENW bank account, the creation of this Crime group and much more.
