Our practice will remain open due to pre-booked appointments, but our commitment stands with every woman raising her voice for safety, dignity, and change.

To honour this movement, 10% of all profits earned on 21 November will be donated to Women For Change SA, an organisation championing justice and support for survivors of GBV.

A personal reflection 💭 Yesterday’s recording but even more Valid today. For the past two days I’ve been immersed into upskilling my painting in portraiture … when I say I am truly learning from some of the best I don’t take that lightly. I am honored and privileged to be painting with two phenomenal artists from the USA… Scott Burdick and Susan Lyon ...👩🏻‍🎨 from live models this week 🧑🏻‍🎨..They are guiding us in a 5 day long workshop through … their course was recommended to me when I visited Florence, Italy earlier this year … thank you for the gift of this suggestion. 🤍 Thank you my friend 🙏🏼They are freeing my logical left brain up to be in a harmonious dance with my right brain 🫶🏼.. I usually enjoy traditional classical portraiture which requires the gift of time and since there are time constaints due to work and life … I invite being freed up in my style to be more painterly and intuitive in what I observe. 👩🏻‍🎨 We are painting from life everyday for the next 5 days from different indigenous ethnicities 🙌🏼. And given it’s only been one day I already feel the freedom in my creativity loosen. We are often so tied up with our logical left brains for works sake but when was the last time you poored love into your inner child.. recognised the things she loved to do and just go for it.. just for yourself.. not for anyone else but for yourself. Painting allows me to bring beauty & create something from nothing 🎨 🫟.
This is also a welcome break in the midst of silly season so that I don’t end up burning the candle at both ends.. It’s part of my self care, my meditation in motion 🤌🏼 In the most perfect spot m in the valley of JonkersHoek 🌲 🍃
We work hard to create the life you want. Your life is your art. Create it in whichever fuels your soul and set it on fire ❤️‍🔥
